RULES AND REGULATIONS
( Revised Syllabus to come into effect from the academic year 2013-14)
ELIGIBILITY:
The course of the study for the DEGREE OF BACHELOR OF PHYSICAL
EDUCATION, shall be open only to students who have qualified for a degree in
this university or other recognised universities.
II.
ADMISSION:
A candidate for admission to ONE YEAR B.P.Ed course has to qualify at
P.E.C.E.T (Physical Education Common Entrance Test) conducted by
A.P.S.C.H.E. (Andhra Pradesh state Council of Higher Education). Government of
Andhra Pradesh for that academic year.
The candidate should be medically fit and free from any physical deformities.
They should produce medical certificate at the time admission to the Institution.

ATTENDANCE:
A student shall not be admitted to the University Examinations, unless he has kept
not less than 75% of the total attendance in theory and practical classes.
V.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTIONS:
A Student is permitted to write theory examinations either in English or in Telugu.

THE SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
The scheme of examination shall be for a total of 1200 marks half of which (600 marks,
theory & practical) shall be evaluated external examiners. The remaining half (600 marks, theory
& practical) will be examined internal examiners at the Institution during the course of the year
as shown below.

Minimum pass marks in each paper including the internal assessment in 35% minimum
pass marks in the aggregate is 40%
PART B : PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES
The practical examination includes practice in various physical activities. Athletics,
Games, Organising tournaments (Intramurals and Extramurals), project sports meets, Practice
Teaching Lesson plans (Internally students requested to complete 5 General and 5 particular
lesson plans, Externally students required to complete 5 General and 5 particulars lesson plans in
the neighboring schools) and First Aid Physiotherapy and care of Injuries.
