PRAYER FOCUS

For believers to be reminded of the importance

of rest and reflection

Pray that believers everywhere will be consistent and intentional about building rest,
reflection and unhurried time with God into our daily routines.

Pray that we will be able to recognize and resist unnecessary time pressures and
distractions that can negatively impact our relationship with God and others.

Pray that we will take the time to reflect on Gods work in our lives and in the world around
us, and to listen to what He has in mind to do next.
Isaiah 30:15

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: In repentance and rest is

your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.

For godly wisdom, strength and encouragement for all those

in leadership

Pray that God will guide the decisions and lives of all those appointed to leadership
positions, wherever they may be, that they would be used for His glory and purposes.

Pray that we will learn how to continually support and encourage pastoral and ministry
leaders in fulfilling the calling God has placed on their lives.

Pray that none of those called to lead and minister will grow weary in doing good, but will
persevere until God brings the promised rewards.

Hebrews 13:17
Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over
you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden,
for that would be of no benefit to you.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. 13 Hold them in the highest regard in
love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we

do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially
to those who belong to the family of believers.

PRAYER FOCUS
For many hearts to be opened to the true message and meaning
of Christmas

Pray for God to give men, women and children without Christ a desire to understand the true

meaning behind Christmas, and the reason for celebration.

Pray for believers to have boldness, creativity and many opportunities to share the true

meaning of Christmas with those they encounter.

Pray that many will receive Christ into their hearts and lives for the first time this Christmas.

Pray for abundant opportunities and resources for believers to help meet the practical needs
of those around them in the name of Christ.
Pray that this Christmas many hurting people will find comfort and true rest in the presence
of Christ and will receive encouragement from His Word.

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on

them,how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words
or speech but with actions and in truth.
