KCCD MINISTRY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

WHAT
Korean Churches for Community Development (KCCD) is providing a unique opportunity for young adults (ages 18 to
30) who have interest in growing as a leader at the intersection of church and community. The community engagement
ministry internship program will train qualied interns to equip their assigned church to leverage resources and partner
with the broader community to impact the world and extend God's Kingdom.

WHY

According to a recent article from CNN, almost every major branch of Christianity in the United States has lost a
signicant number of members...pew found, mainly because millennials are leaving the fold. Although churches are
aware of this dire circumstance, they often misunderstand the cause of the problem. They think that the millennials
are a very dierent generation and do not have strong faith as their predecessor. However, the young adults today do
have the passion to make a dierence in our world, yet the church lacked adequate resource and knowhow to facilitate
a meaningful engagement in the community. As a result, young leaders are leaving the church looking elsewhere to
fulll Gods calling for their generation.
As a member of the church body, at KCCD, we too are called to raise up a generation of young leaders to transform the
world for the cause of Christ. Our Ministry Internship Program is a Partnership that addresses the Community
Engagement issue. In this program, KCCD will bring our Community Development expertise to the table. Together,
working with the local churches, we will train up Community Engagement Interns, who will be a Champion for
Community Outreach, within your respective body of believers.
Our goal in this partnership is to build a fruitful sustainable Culture of Engagement that is within the local church. So
that the church can spread the love of God freely within the community and to utilize the diverse community-based
stakeholders and resources to benet the church, for the glory of God.
