The Auto, Agricultural and construction industry is going for continuous change and this change is the result of customer
demands as well as new environmental norms. Forgings contribute a major share in vehicles in terms of weight, strength
and value. Forging industry is aligning itself with various technological solutions for the evolving demands from the
automotive sector. India is a major force in Forging manufacturing and shall play a crucial part in meeting the new
demands of global customers.
Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organising one day programme
on"Modern Automotive needs and Latest trends in Forging Technology" on 10 April 2015 at Pune.

Participant Profile
This programme will be ideal for senior management team / decision makers / HODs looking for productivity improvement,
cost control and optimisation in Forging. This programme will benefit practicing engineers and senior technical personnel
involved in the functions of Design and Development, Process Planning, Product Engineering, Application engineering,
R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Sourcing of forged components.
The programme will be highly interactive where participants can raise questions and solicit feedback from the expert faculty.

Faculty
This programme will be conducted by Dr. Vasant Khisty and Mr. D.G. Chivate.
Dr. Vasant Khisty has 33 years experience in all aspects of Forging gear manufacturing and International
business development for Drive line systems. He has worked in various Indian and multinational
companies at the level of president. He has done his PhD in Global competitiveness of Auto component
Inductry and is supporting several companies in India , China and Europe. He currently has a consulting
firm in the name of Sammy consulting and has a global customer base.
Mr. D G Chivate is BE in metallurgy from COEP Pune. He is having over 39 years work experience in
Forging Industry & has Worked as Senior metallurgist with leading companies like Kalyani group, Kirloskar
group etc. He is a Member of ASM Speaker at various technical institutes & Currently is a consultant for
metallurgy for various OES and Forging manufacturers. He has developed path breaking technology in
metallurgy and heat treatment.
REGISTRATION : Prior registration for participation is necessary. Number of participants is limited and will be accepted
on First Come First Serve basis. A Certificate of participation will be issued to participants.
Important Information :
Participation fee includes, course material, working lunch and tea / coffee. Interested companies are requested to register online by clicking on
'REGISTER' button and by filling up the nomination authority and participant's details in specified form.
FEE : The stipulated fee can be paid online by clicking on 'Register and Pay online" button and using the secured HDFC payment gateway. Upon
successful registration and payment, a separate registration and payment confirmation will be sent to the nominating authority mail id confirming
the registration and OR payment details. Alternatively, a Demand Draft or at par cheque in favour of 'Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers'
Association' payable at Pune can be sent to the programme coordinator at the address mentioned in the brochure.
