Background of the company

Introduction
Converge Construction was established in 1995 when Ahmad Ali b. Mustafa, at that
time a partner in a successful West Rand Estate Agency, realised that the demand
for housing in the area, particularly for the first time homeowner, was growing
rapidly. Over the years, the company has grown from strength to strength, having
successfully and experience completed over 150 projects, ranging from single
residential units to large industries.
In the residential market, the company has targeted the first-time homeowner and
the investor looking for a value-for-money investment, and numerous complexes
have been completed. Units in our investment portfolio become available for lease
from time to time. The company is continuing to build for this category of buyer
while at the same time entering into the affordable housing market - a marked
contribution towards improving the severe shortage of housing for the lower income
earner.
Top management believes in an open door policy and our Managing Director is
personally involved with each project. Such a hands on approach ensures that
good relations are maintained between our clients and the company at all times.

Converge Construction tries to offer the finest quality design, site preparation, cost
estimates, construction and alteration to clients needing large scale construction
services. Converge Construction maintains the highest standards of service in the
commercial construction industry.

The Companys Occupational Health & Safety Policy is as follow:
The company is committed to achieving excellence in project quality delivered to
clients and also provide a safe and healthy workplace. Our key strategic objective is
the achievement of "zero harm". Site Foremen and management ensure that safety
is not compromised in any circumstances by taking responsibility for employee
safety. By following the principles:

Provide a safe and healthy working environment.

Provide the safe machine, equipment, tools and substance.

Safe system of work.

Report immediately any injury or/and accident of hazardous work condition of

workplace.

Comply with all applicable occupational health and safety statutory,

regulatory and other contractual requirements.


This Occupational Health & Safety Policy will be communicated with all affected
persons working for the organisation, make available to any interested parties and
will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remain relevant and appropriate to the
organisation.
