any way does not guarantee admission to Ph.D. Programme at IIT Gandhinagar.

Instructions for the Candidate

The candidates must report on time for Written Test and/or Interview.

Candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria
and bring a copy of his/her application, a passport size photograph, self-attested
photocopies
of
his/her
marksheets
and
degree
certificates,
GATE/CSIR/UGC/NBHM/DST score card etc. if any at the time of test/interview.

The candidates called for the Test / Interview will be reimbursed any amount
exceeding Rs.750/- for to and fro single second-sleeper class railway fare by the
shortest route from their place of residence (as mentioned in the application
form) to the Institute. For example, in case of total railway fare of Rs.1400/- the
candidate will be reimbursed Rs.650/-. They have to produce evidence (railway
ticket) in support of the claim.

Students joining regular (RR) Ph.D program will be considered for Institute
Fellowship based on the laid down norms.

The candidates belonging to SC/ST category must submit self-attested copy of

the caste certificate at the time of test/interview (in the prescribed format).

The candidates belonging to OBC- non-creamy layer category must submit selfattested copy of the latest OBC caste and non-creamy layer certificate at the
time of test/interview (in the prescribed format).

The physically disabled candidates (with minimum 40% disability), who have
submitted their applications without attaching required certificate has to submit
self-attested copy of necessary certificates at the time of written test/interview for
consideration.

A candidate applying for PhD under External category or CDP will be required to
produce consent of the employer at the time of test/interview in original.

If selected, you will be required to pay the fees and deposits as applicable within
the stipulated time to confirm your admission.

The Institute reserves the right to withdraw the admission in case candidate
DOES NOT fulfill minimum qualification / required percentage of marks in
qualifying examination or supplies any false information.
