EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In the existing paper work related to leave management,


Thisincreases the paperwork & maintaining the records becomes
tedious.Maintaining

notices

in

the

records

also

increases

the

paperwork. The main objective of the proposed system is to decrease


thepaperwork and help in easier record maintenance by having a
particularcentralized Database System, where Leaves and Notice s
aremaintained.The proposed system automates the existing system.
Itdecreases the paperwork and enables easier record maintenance . It
alsoreduces chances of Data loss.This module intelligently adapts to
HRpolicy of the management &allows employees and their line
managers tomanage leaves and replacements forbetter scheduling of
workload.
In the existing Leave Record Management Systems, companies
usually follow manual procedure in which staffs/employees need to
submit their leaves manually to their respective authorities and leaves
are maintained using the attendance registers/records for staffs by
the HR department. At the end of each month/period, Human
Resource Administration Department calculates leave/s of every
member which is a time taking process and there are chances of
losing data or errors in the records. This project proposal is a single

leave management system that is critical for HR tasks and keeps the
record of vital information regarding working hours and leaves. It
intelligently adapts to HR policy of the management and allows
employees

and

their

line

managers

to

manage

leaves

and

replacements (if required). In this system, Head of Department (HOD)


will have permissions to look after data of every employee of their
department. HOD can approve leave through this application and can
view leave information of every individual. This application can be
used in a business to reduce processing work load. This projects main
idea is to develop an online centralized application connected to
database which will maintain employee leaves, notices information
and their replacements (if needed). Leave management application
will reduce paperwork and maintain record in a more efficient &
systematic way. This proposed system will also help to calculate the
number of leaves taken monthly/annually and help gather data with
respect to number of not taken for leave, thereby helping in
calculating the additional incentives by the HR Department.
Online Leave Management System ensures that all leave taken
and leave requests are properly accounted for. Where staffs can apply,
view leave records and have the approval without the hassle and delay
of going through the admin staff- it's all at your fingertips with any
time, anywhere access.

This system allows employees to easily determine their vacation


availability and request leave online. For Managers -Leave approval
no longer involve trails of paperwork. The system provides full audit
trails of your staff's leave balances and plans. An E-Mail alert will be
sent to the approving officer. Once the leave has been approved /
rejected by the officer, an E-Mail alert will be sent back to the
employee

as

well.
