so i realized today what's the point of showing a journey if i filter all of the
bad shit? therefore, all the uploads will be unadulterated from now on (nothing
but some gain added so it isn't quiet as fuck.)
I spent most of my time between this recording and the last one trying to unders
tand the little nuances that decide if two tracks fit together beautifully or if
they for together like a square peg in a circular hole.
i feel like spending a lot of downtime re-learning the circle of fifths and what
genres most often clash together helped me get inside the artists head a lot be
tter than I did before. it also helped me get the songs to finally start making
love at a few rare moments, mm.
still working on it obviously, but I feel like my long transitions aren't as abr
upt and harsh as last time. learning how [ii/V/I] progressions relate to harmoni
c mixing was sexy. go music theory!
my beat matching still needs a fair amount of work and i need to figure out why
my timecode vinyl at times randomly starts tracking like shit.
anyway, this is a journey after all I so you're gonna hear a few trainwrecks in
there, heh. especially near the end when i need to pee like a motherfuck.
i guess i should probably learn where the fuck my sync button actually is at som
e point.
