introduce our personal driver for this
tour no other than Mr. Mario Cabrera
he is an experienced driver for
almost 7 years and he will make sure
that we will have a safe and happy
trip.

like to take a minute to familiarize
you with the area and discuss some
brief safety precautions. Firstly, I ask
that you remain seated until we reach
our destination and that you not eat
or drink while on the van. Secondly,
please realize that it is against the
law to get drunk in public. Enjoy your
vacation, but do drink responsibly
and do not drink and drive.
While we are in our way going to
Malitbog Garden Inn, Which is the
place where youre going to stay and
rest. There are some places and
landmarks which were going to pass.
In a few minutes well be passing the
landmark of Palo, Leyte
This is the Mc Arthur Park also known
the Leyte Landing Memorial, this is a
landmark for Gen. Douglas
MacArthur. In Philippine history the
arrival of Gen. MacArthur and his
troops signaled the beginning of the
freedom of the Philippines from the
Japanese hands. This is located here
in Palo, Leyte. This one of the
historical monument not just here in
Leyte but of course the whole
Philippines. This is known since
Douglas Mc Arthur the American
general said the phrase I SHALL
RETURN.

passing the landmark of Tanauan,
Leyte
This is a very sad and tragic story
because this statue build as a
remembrance for the people who
suffer and died during the Typhoon
Yolanda, and under it, there is a
multiple dead people common known
as Mass Grave, which is located here
in Tanauan, Leyte. This is one of the
most painful and unfortunate for the
people of Leyte because they buried
here a lot of people who died during
the devastating of typhoon Yolanda.
Now it is part of the history not just
for the eastern Visayas but each
Filipinos who knows about the
tragedy and became a landmark here
in Tanauan.
At last we are already here. I
Welcome you all to the town of
haru which means Springs. Enjoy
yourselves looking side to side scenic
view of this humble town. Are

came from the word haru which
means spring it is because Burauen
has a lot of spring that can be find
here, as we know Burauen dont have
any beaches or seashores it is
because the town is located in the
center of the province of Leyte. But

we are abundant of spring not just

spring but a very cold spring. Later
on we are going to see those place.

This is the Rizal park, as you can see
this is a good place to rest and enjoy
the scenic view especially at night
when the lights are on. This is not
huge like in the manila but they build
this as a tribute to the Philippine's
national hero, Jose Rizal, a doctor and
novelist who was shot by firing squad
on December 30, 1896.

This is the only canon left here in
Burauen, the others are already
destroy. This serve as a machinery
weapon for the Burawanons who
suffer a lot during the word war 2.
The Japanese Military encamped the
eastern part of the poblacion there
were many encounters between the
Japanese forces and the guerillas who
were firmly establish in their
mountain strongholds. During the
Allied Forces liberation of Leyte on
October 20, 1944, Burauen was
among the most heavily devastated
towns in Leyte, thousands of civilians
were killed and a number of
properties were destroyed.

This is the Mary park, located in front
of the Lady of Immaculate conception
church in the town Proper. They built

this in their belief of mother virgin

Mary and serve as a continuous
blessing in the town. Now it is one of
the visited place here in Burauen. The
place is surrounded with beautiful
plants and trees serve as umbrella for
the Visitors and good picnic site
where you will enjoy the view.

This is the oldest church in the town
of Burauen and the biggest as of
now, The structure inside was
amazing, as you can see there is a lot
of paintings in each wall and you well
also see the big chandelier and a
crystalline light with a huge relic of
Jesus. Almost 80 percent of the
population of Burauen are Roman
Catholic and the people here are very
religious they always celebrated the
town fiesta during the month of
December as a thank you offering to
their beloved parish. But during the
devastated Yolanda the church
destroy and now restored and as you
notice it is still continuing to rebuild.

This place is the major source of
drinking water of this town. The water
came from here going to the proper is
a very cold water and a crystalline
one.

This is the Mahagnao Lake and
Volcano also known as Mahagnao
Volcano Natural Park. This is the best
for a little adventurous and trekking
tourist, This also the most famous
nature escapade of Burauen. It is one
of the countrys largest natural parks

that houses the surfuric Mahagnao

volcano and twin-crater-lake of
Mahagnao (cool) and Malagsum
(warm).
The natural park features a dormant
volcano, a freshwater lake, an acidic
lake, waterfalls, hot springs and a
variety of flora and fauna all of
these are natural wonders amidst
cool breezy atmosphere.
The 635-hectare Mahagnao Volcano
Natural Park is located in Burauen,
Leyte. From the town proper, the
place can only be reached through a
motorcycle. Travelers should expect
uphill climbs and bumpy roads when
visiting this glorious park.
Enjoy the scenic view of this place.. in
front of us is the Mahagnao volcano it
is one of the protecter place here
since it is natural park.

Everyone this the Cansiboy spring

resort one of the newest resort here
in Burauen. As you can see it has
three layers of pool and one kiddy
pool. It is also has a running water
from the top of mountain and it is
cold.

Burawanons has a lot to offer
especially in food. In ours two days
stay here, the dishes and delicacies
youve tried is just few, so this is the
