Testing & Commissioning Plan

The following inspections & tests will be performed by Allied Machinery Ltd. In the presence, of
representative from TECHNOLOGIST INC at Maimana Project.

A. Pre-Startup Inspection

Engine should stop

Engine should stop on over speed simulation.

Engine should stop in both cases.

This safety has been provided in Automatic
transfer switch. On overload the ATI should open
the circuit.
Readings of panel gauges, meters, displays, and
instruments provided as permanent equipment
shall be verified during test runs, using test
instruments of greater precision and accuracy.
All the parameters have been checked & found
Ok.

C) MTS Testing

Remarks

Start one generator set and after warm up time, shift the load on running
generator set.
Start the 2nd generator set and after warm up time, shift the load on 2nd
generator set.
Repeat the cycle 2-3 times.

D) 400 kW Load Bank Testing

B) Load Test
The Generator sets will be tested on suppliers provided load bank as per following
procedure.
Steps
1st Step:

Load Test
Start the genset and run without load for 15 minutes.

Put 10% load and run the genset for 15 minutes

rd

3 step:

Increase the load to 25% and run for 15 minutes

4th Step:

Increase the load to 50% and run for 15 minutes

2 step:

Increase the load to 75% and run for 15 minutes

Increase the load to 100% and run for 15 minutes

Remarks

NOTE:
Due to Maimana site conditions there will be deration and must be considered while testing the
genset on load.
The genset is rated at 0.8 power factor and load bank is rated as 1.0 power factor and this must
be considered while testing the genset on load.
Block loading, more than 25% is not recommended.
Load Test Report is attached for details.
