Brief Introduction:
Model town society is one of the oldest society in Subcontinent. The Society was stated as Evacuee
(Emigrant) property in 1947 (after partition) as 85% of the plots belonged to non-Muslims who travelled
to India. At the time of partition, total Number of Members of Society were 1366, out of which 277 were
Muslims & Christians and 1089 were Hindus, Sikhs. And now society has 4008 members in their present
documentation.
In 1960 the Chief Settlement & Rehabilitation Commissioner certified it as Legal entity and was allowed
to be registered as Cooperative Model Town Society on the payment of Rs. 100/- in Government Capital
as token money. All Assets & liabilities of the old Society including those properties declared Evacuee
were transferred to the present Society.

Objective:
The basic object of the Society is to promote the economic and social interests of its members and more
to lay out, establish and maintain a garden town.

their customer and provide their
best in fulfilling their residential
needs and try to give best
experience of living. No
decision made without approval
of their customers / members.

Recommendation
The society should look into
some new ideas of living. They
should follow up some master
plans of launching the same
structure of society to reach the
high demand of their customers
who want to live in Society like
model town.

2:Leadership

Society
has
its
elected
leadership who elected after
every 3 years. That leadership
decide master plans for the
benefits of Model town. Make
different policies through which
they effectively make revenue
for their organization.
The elected president and its
team will make plans and
policies for the whole society

The elected leadership should

focus on the welfare of the
whole society regardless of
their
personal
interest.
Welfare of the society should
be the main focus for them.

3:Involvement

Involvement of their senior

employee in decision making
should also provide better result

employees of the society.

No one has the authority to

make any decision solely.
AGM annual general meeting
is conducted for the approval
of the plans which was
decided by elected members.

fulfillment of the projects.
But there should be some
check and balance by the
upper management.
Now society should try to
focus on their main round
road. And give first priority to
the development of club.

They should raise their

budget and focus on those
plans who will be beneficial
to them for a longer period of
time in generating revenue.

They should try to develop

their own electricity power
plant in future because of
load shedding.
