The color palette consists of high contrasts, utilizing bold colors
and massive amounts of texture to evoke an anti-corporate
attitude. Tints tones, and shades of Navy, Red, Orange, and Gold
juxtapose blemished and reclaimed materials to add texture and
visual interest to the space. Sleek, contemporary furniture pieces
hold professional appeal and create ergonomic work spaces.

As the quintessential element in Bluegrass music

the Banjo rouses imagery of rustic tradition, artistic
talent, and inspired creativity, all which are core
values of Blue Willow Records, a company that
prides itself on blending the deep roots of
bluegrass music with innovative style. As such, the
banjo serves as the chief design inspiration to
create a unique and cultured environment for Blue
Willow Records Skybox at Nissan Stadium, in
Nashville Tennessee. The integration of rustic
finishes with modern furnishings and textiles
creates a distinctive transitional style that emulates
the companys sophisticated brand in every line. A
base palette of neutral colors mixes with polished
wood finishes, and curved lines throughout the
design to convey the banjos theme with subtly and
class.

The Fayetteville Community Center reflects the progressive revitalization of the

historical Main Street District in every facet of the design while staying true to
the rural character of the site and community. The design creates a unique,
transitional style by merging reclaimed materials with modern furnishings and
finishes. A contrast of bold colors, industrial textures, and curved lines are used
throughout the design to convey the diverse and hospitable nature of the
community center. Natural lighting and universal design solutions play a
considerable factor in the design to encourage exploration of the facility's
library while fostering both learning and creativity.

The design of the Harrison Residence

focuses on enhancing the existing
architectural parameters of the newly built
home to reflect the opulence and luxury
found in the historic Art Deco style of the
20s and 30s Jazz era. Focusing on opulence
and glamour, the interior of the Harrison
home will reflect a sense of sophisticated
tranquility in every detail. Utilizing a neutral
gray palette with high contrasts of blue and
gold, this interior will both invite and allure.

The gold accents and mirrored finishes found in ceiling treatments, railings, and other accents are
incorporated for the psychological association with abundance and prosperity, luxury and quality,
prestige and sophistication, value and elegance (Chapman). Both color selections are tied closely
with the historical style and paired with the neutral wall color, will inspire creativity in the family of
musicians and dancers.
In the Living area, a large focal wall is designed to house a concealed storage area behind a series
of mirrored panels. As these panels are featured opposite of the large glass paned French Doors,
the view from the exterior of the property will be able to be enjoyed from any conversational angle.
The large geometric mural design above the mini-bar serves double duty to hide an additional TV
viewing area as well as enhance the historical Deco theme.

Very little contrast in lighting is planned

for this space as the illumination should
be bright and uniform to increase
activity, energy and productivity. The
additional recessed can lights will
provide a more subdued and warmer
illumination for relaxation during breaks
and viewing acuity during visual
presentations.
The ambient lighting will be sufficient
during daylight hours but will not
require both recessed and pendant
lighting operating at the same time
during a bright day. If both are used
together during brighter daylight, the
space could feel over lit.
The ambient sources are to be used
together during the evening hours and
overcast days along with focal lighting
to prevent shadows.

The direct-Indirect pendant troffers double as the primary

ambient lighting source and will provide general lumination
for directional paths and wayfinding. The addition of recessed
lights are used as supplemental illumination around the
perimeter of the room to prevent shadows.

Extra refrigeration for staff drinks and lunches

will be hidden in refrigeration drawers. A
separate eating area will be provided to
accommodate the number of guests the kitchen
serves daily.
Rustic finishes such as brick exposed wood,
reclaimed iron pipes and reclaimed pine will add
to the overall country charm of this kitchen.
Classic country blues, whites and creams will
keep the feel of the space bright in contrast to
the brick, iron and reclaimed wood.
The work aisle will be at least 48 to
accommodate more than one cook. All
clearances for the kitchen and work triangle will
be in accordance to NKBA standards. The
kitchen design will also focus on sustainable
solutions and feature a modern recycling center.

Clean and sophisticated, this portfolio template is designed to attract potential employers within the hospitality industry. A simple white
background is featured to highlight drawings and materials and allow them to blend seamlessly with the board. A custom designed image
serves as a visual focal point, unifying the design of the template and making a connection to the whimsical font used in the logo design. A
combination of soft blue and dark brown coalesce to evoke a sense of casual, classic style. These elements will serve to provide a neutral
backdrop for the featured projects within the portfolio, highlighting and complementing individual color palettes for each design. Horizontal
lines are used to balance the visual weight of each slide and serve as a border for compositional arrangements, both framing and
emphasizing each piece.
The hospitality industry as a whole is trending towards clean and contemporary designs that are adaptable for a variety of applications. This
template will showcase the designers versatility and sense of style while portraying a variety of design skills. The original sidebar and color
selections were removed to allow for more flexibility and space to showcase the designers work and give a cleaner appearance. Text styles
and hierarchies were also explored further in the revision. The lowercase text on the title page and subsequent slide headers takes on an
urban quality against the background and maintains a contemporary feel. A whimsical handwritten style was added for subtitles to create a
visual connection to the logo and prevent an institutional feel to the presentation. A traditional sans serf font will serve as the primary text
style for labels and verbal concept explanations. The sans serifs light text style will add to the overall clean and uncomplicated appearance
of the portfolio.
Wayfinding elements will be addressed with textual icons that connect to each project as a way to navigate through the presentation. In
addition, forward, back, and return to menu arrows will be added to keep the navigation process simple.
