jargoncreates,scholarsmuststudythestateofthelanguageusedtoteachlegalwritingnow.Itiscriticalto
knowhowthosecreatinganewlegal writinglanguagelegalwritingprofessorsandtheirstudentstalk
about writing. The legal community must concomitantly identify how judges and lawyers talk about
writing.Ifwebegintounderstandhowlegalprofessionalsusejargondifferently,wecanseehowweneed
toclarifyourspeech.Additionally,legalwritingprofessionalsshouldmakeconsidereddecisionswhen
expandinglegalwritingvocabulary,creatingnewtermsorneologismspurposefullyandnotmerelyforthe
sakeofexpansion.Finally,afterstudyingtheemerginglegalwritinglanguage,legalwritingprofessionals
canbeginteachingtheentirelegalcommunitythevocabularyneededtotalkaboutlegalwritingwitheach
otherascolleagues,teachers,andemployers.
