PRESALES BOOT CAMP


The Oracle ATG Web Commerce 10 PreSales Boot Camps are designed to enable you with the product knowledge
and provide you the technical training required for continued success with our clients. We bring together
solution experts to lead Boot Camps and Application Business Workshops where they can share their global
expertise and experience.
What will we cover:

This bootcamp is for resources that provide technical leadership in sales pursuits of Oracle ATG
project/engagement opportunities for the partner organization. These resources must know how to setup and lead
customer demos, be very familiar with product features and capabilities (OOTB), and understand platform
constraints.
Learn To:

The following learning objectives are all critical and are of equal priority in enabling this role to succeed.
This learning module will help the resource to:

Be able to setup and lead product demos for customers, and lead technical discussions on the technology
and the platform.
Become familiar with the full line of Oracle ATG Products, Solutions and Services, specifically the
names and functions/features of each.
Understand the ecommerce ecosystem, such as common integration points (e.g. payment systems, order
management, etc.) and competing solutions.
Have a high level understanding of what it takes to build and deploy an Oracle ATG Web Commerce 10
Solution
Know what support options are available for product defects versus implementation or Structured
Enablement support.
Be familiar with Case Studies that highlight how other customers have used the platform.

Prerequisite Training and Environment Requirements:

General domain knowledge and experience with ecommerce


Programming and Markup Experience with Java J2EE, JavaScript, XML, HTML and CSS
Participants will be required to bring their own laptop. Laptops will require access to the Internet through
Remote Desktop via Windows.

The Spaces 2 Commerce Vision Storefront Demo is a storefront application that was designed by Oracle's ATG
Commerce Innovation Group, to provide a vision for what a leading edge commerce web site built on the ATG
Web Commerce platform might be like. In this segment, we will go through the Spaces 2 demo, and discuss some
of the site's features and the underlying business strategies that they were designed and built to support.
Demo: ATG Commerce Reference Store 10
The ATG Commerce Reference Store 10 was designed to fill two major needs:
1. To demonstrate features of the ATG Web Commerce Solution
2. To provide a baseline reference for partners and customers in their efforts to build their application on the ATG
Web Commerce platform.
In this segment, we will walk through the CRS 10 demo and familiarize ourselves with its features.
Complete Commerce: Oracle's Product Vision/Strategy for ATG
What is the Oracle vision and strategy for ATG? In this section we will discuss the high level vision and strategy
for Oracle ATG Web Commerce.
ATG versus The Competition
What products and/or solutions directly compete with Oracle ATG Web Commerce? We will discuss three of the
main competing products in the marketplace, their advantages and disadvantages, as well as how Oracle ATG is
positioned to compete and win against them in head to head evaluations.
Why Oracle ATG Web Commerce?
In this section, we will explore business and technical reasons to consider an ATG Commerce solution and review
the solution's value propositions.

Day 2
ATG Customer Stories and Case Studies
In this section, we'll discuss a few notable customer implementations, in order to provide you with some ideas on
what can and has been done by other customers on the ATG Web Commerce platform.
We'll review customer stories and case studies from: AT&T (bundles, self service), DSW + CVS (search),
netshoes, Nike id (Rich UI, configurable product), DIRECTV (personalization), roadrunner sports +
Calendars.com (SEO), Sephora (offers), best buy + container store (pickup in-store)
Concept: Personalization
This is a concept session. These sessions are focused on conveying concepts that play a critical role in selling and
implementing Oracle ATG Web Commerce Solutions. In this segment, we will define the concept of
personalization, identify the different types and how ATG can be used to meet varying personalization strategies.
Concept: Merchandising & Promotions
This is another concept session. The focus of this session will be to discuss the role of the merchandiser, how
ATG puts the power in the hands of the business user and how to leverage the power of the platform to
merchandise products.
We will also introduce the concept of promotions and what kind of promotions can be created out of box. We
will discuss popular promotion scenarios such as BOGO (buy one get one), 50% off, Buy 2 get 50% off the third,
etc., as well as how to create custom scenarios for your specific business needs.
Setting Up the CRS Demo
In this session, we will walk through the steps to install and demo CRS 10 in your own local environment.
CRS 10 Hands-On Guided Tour & Demo Script
In this session, you will have the opportunity to tour the environment that you've installed in your local desktop
environment. We will be on hand to answer any questions you may have as you familiarize yourself with CRS 10.
We will go through a couple of experience paths that you can use to demo CRS 10 for your customers.
Better Together: ATG, BEA & Exalogic/Exadata
In this session we will discuss how ATG can be optimized to run on BEA Weblogic Application Server, JRockit,
and Coherence on Exalogic and Exadata servers. We will cover what these products are, why customers would
find them useful, and how to position them. We will also discuss how engineered systems like Exalogic and
Exadata, WebLogic and Coherence strengthen sales opportunities, while providing clear tangible benefits to
customers.
Building your ATG practice
This session is targeted at Practice Leaders/Directors who are tasked with building an ATG practice. We'll discuss
strategies for hiring and staffing and how to enable your resources through Oracle ATG Specialization.
We'll discuss the sales workflow, how to engage and work with local Oracle ATG resources (including OCS and
OSS) to support you with your opportunity, as well as considerations for building demos for your customer
prospect. We'll try to provide you with insights and experience on what to expect and how to handle Oracle ATG
Web Commerce sales opportunities.

Day 3
ATG Web Commerce Technology Overview
This third day of bootcamp is intended to provide more technical presales resources with a deeper understanding
of the Oracle ATG Web Commerce Products.
Customizing CRS for Demos
In this session, we'll discuss the most common tasks presales resources encounter when creating/customizing ATG
demos for their customers.
We'll cover answers to questions such as:
Where are all the files, where can I find...?
How to for basic updates: logo swaps, CSS and layout mods, etc.
Where are the reference materials?
How do I get support?
