(enclosed) sent via facsimile. Your request has been considered pursuant to the California Rules
of Court, rule 10.500, "Public access to judicial administrative records."
In accordance with the applicable rule of court, the AOC has determined that your request seeks
nondisclosable records, that is copies of retainer agreements entered into between the AOC and
legal counsel. Agreements with law firms are confidential communications, and thus, are
exempt from disclosure under the rule of court as privileged. See Cal. Rule of Court,
