How can I turn the QoS feature off on my EN2TR to allow compatibility without
updates?
This must be done with a MSG instruction in Logix. Attributes 5-8 in the QoS object
must be set to zero to achieve compatibility without updates: Below is an example of the
message instruction required to set attribute #5 to zero. This MSG instruction would be
repeated for Attributes 6, 7 and 8. These attributes are stored in non-volatile memory, so
these setting will only need to be modified once. In addition, it will be important to
power cycle the module once these settings are modified. They will not take effect until
a power cycle occurs.

How can I turn the QoS feature on for standard messaging in my EN2T (F)(XT) module
with 3.x firmware?
To take advantage of the QoS features available in these products, the QoS object can be
set with a MSG instruction in Logix. Below is an example of the message instruction
required to set attribute #5 to the setting recommended by the ODVA. Attributes 5, 6, 7,
and 8 will need to be set as follows: Attribute 5 = 47, Attribute 6 = 43, Attribute 7= 31,
and Attribute 8 = 27. These attributes are stored in non-volatile memory, so these setting
will only need to be modified once. In addition, it will be important to power cycle the
module once these settings are modified. They will not take effect until a power cycle
occurs.
