    As Muslims we know that we should never go to the


    toilet in public.
    Jabir (ra) states that, 'When the Messenger of Allah
    (saas) would go to relieve himself he would go so far
    that no-one could see him.'
    It is disliked to even talk while going to the toilet,
    A man passed by the Prophet (saas) whilst he was
    urinating, and greeted him. The Messenger of Allaah
    (saas) said to him: If you see me in this state, do not
    greet me, because if you do, I will not respond.
    (Reported by Ibn Maajah, 346; see also Saheeh alJaami, 575).

    It is against the Sunnah to eat whilst


    lying on ones stomach or side.
    Abu Juhaifah said: I was with the
    Messenger of Allah (saas) when he said
    to a man that was with him: I do not
    eat while I am reclining (or leaning).
    The scholars have said perhaps it is
    disliked because it is imitating the
    reclining position of tyrants and kings
    of foreign lands.

    The Messenger of Allaah (saas)


    said,
    Spells (ruqyah), amulets and
    love-charms are shirk.

    Trim the moustache and grow
    the beard and do not imitate the
    polytheists

    Narrated Abu Said AlKhudri (ra)


    The Prophet (saas) said,
    "Ghusl (taking a bath) on
    Friday is compulsory for
    every Muslim reaching
    the age of puberty."

    musical instruments,
    flutes, strings, crucifixes,
    and the affair of the preIslamic period of
