PUBLIC NOTICE
PUBLIC HEARING AND SPECIAL MEETING
The Boards of Supervisors of Chestnuthill, Jackson, Eldred and Ross
Townships will hold a public hearing, to be followed by a special meeting, on March 27, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the West End Fire Hall, Route 715,
Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, Pennsylvania for consideration
of amendments to the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance
(SALDO) and Zoning Ordinance (ZO) of each municipality.
The amendments are proposed in accordance with an Intergovernmental Cooperative Implementation Agreement dated October 6, 2008
by and between the above named municipalities. Said Agreement established the CJER Planning Committee, a stated purpose of which was
to facilitate amendments to the SALDO and ZO of the respective municipalities in order to address developments of regional significance as
defined in the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement.
A complete copy of the proposed amendments are available at the
Monroe County Planning Commission, 1 Quaker Alley, Stroudsburg, PA
18360, or at the business offices of the respective municipalities. The
proposed amendments are too lengthy for publication herein, however,
are summarized below.
CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP SALDO AMENDMENT - LIST OF CHANGES
ITEM 1 - Delete lot averaging references from 98-7C.
ITEM 2 - Update definitions.
ITEM 3 - Require electronic copies of plans and require applicant attendance at meetings.
ITEM 4 - Editorial change to 98-28F(3).
ITEM 5 - Include infrastructure reference in conservation design process.
ITEM 6 - Editorial change to 98-38G(2).
ITEM 7 - Provide for operation and maintenance of PennDOT-required
facilities.
ITEM 8 - Add requirements for as-built plans.
ITEM 9 - Add provisions to overall standards for subdivisions and land
developments.
ITEM 10 - Delete lot averaging references from 98-60G(7).
ITEM 11 - Amend off-street parking and loading requirements.
ITEM 12 - Add standards for control of light and glare.
ITEM 13 - Update landscape requirements.
ITEM 14 - Add design standards for development in the GC, VC and LIC
Districts.
ITEM 15 - Add landscape plan items to preliminary and final checklists.
ITEM 16 - Replace all conservation design diagrams in 98 Attachment
