On 03-09-16 at approximately 18{lOhours I was assigned to direct traffic at Je.fferson and Main Street fer the "World of
Beer: 5k run. I was in my muked police vehicle with the Pensacola Police Department insignia dearly displayed on it and
I was wearing my police uniform. I was also wearing a neon :I"-e1low
sl.fetYl"est with police written on the baek o.fit so
vehicle's could dearl)' see me.
It was my responsibilit}' to block both East and West vehicle traffic OIl Main Street to allow the runners to safely cross
Main Street and continue to run North on Jefferson Street I had my marked police vehicle parked with all nerhead blue
lights activated in thecenter turning lane on Main Street, just East I)f the Intersection of Jefferson and l\laill Street, At
approximately 1830 hours. the large group of runners became scarce and I was able to work rehiele traffic through the
group of runners. I was able to work approximately 4'vehicles through until more runners approached the Intersecden to
eross Main Street. I then had to stop vehicle traffic again.
I stopped a Blue TOy6ta Sl1V. FL#H363LA that was traveling East on Main Street. The vehicle initially stopped and the
driver and suspect. later identified as Charles James, rolled the winiow completely down and began to yell at me, James
was screaming out the window that this was fucking ridiculous an.d,hat he did not need to stop. Jame,s stated that the
group of runners run e-ach \Vednesday and interfere with his drive home.I advised James that it would just he a minute
an.dI wGuldwork him through the group of runners. James adsised that he did not fucking care nor did be have to stop
