Electrical Power Requirements

Each Model N2002-002 system requires two separately protected power circuits. The
power requirements for each circuit are listed in Table 2-1.
Note: IBM recommends that the power supplied to the rack be uninterruptible.

Site Preparation and Specifications: IBM PureData System for Analytics Model N200x

Space requirements
Each rack in the system has a footprint of 25.5 in. (64.8 cm) by 43 in. (109.2 cm). An
additional 36 in. (91.5 cm) of clear space is required in front of each rack and 30 in. (76.2
cm) behind the rack. This is to allow unrestricted airflow and access to the system.
IBM recommends an extended service clearance of 60 in. (152 cm) in front of the rack to
allow unrestricted access for service.
Note: The Model N2002-002 system is housed in a rack that is wider than a standard 24
in. (61 cm) data center floor tile. Plan accordingly.
A full height system rack is 87.5 in. (222 cm) tall including its shipping pallet. Without the
pallet, the rack stands 79.5 in. (202 cm) tall including casters. Allow for this when planning the movement of the system from the unloading point to its permanent location.
Figure 2-1 shows the space requirements for each rack.

Air Changes

The IBM PureData System for Analytics N200X appliance requires

adequate ventilation during the first 120 days of continuous operation. Adequate ventilation of an appliance is met with an average
roomsize of 65 cubic meters and an average room intake make-up
air rate of 0.4 air changes per hour. The room size can be met by
allowing a 3.5 meter clearance on each side of the system for a
solid floor installation or a 3.1 meter clearance on each side of the
system for a raised floor installation.

Floor Loading Requirements

The floor that supports the Model N2002-002 system must be capable of supporting a
minimum of 263 lbs/ft2 (1,283 kg/m2).

Note: The Model N2002-005 system is housed in a rack that is wider than a standard 24
Figure 3-1 shows the space requirements for each rack.

Air Changes

The IBM PureData System for Analytics N2001 appliance requires

adequate ventilation during the first 120 days of continuous operation.

The floor that supports the Model N2002-005 system must be capable of supporting a
minimum of 263 lbs/ft2 (1,283 kg/m2).
