PERCENTAGE ANALYSIS

Percentage analysis is the method to represent raw streams of data as a percentage for
better understanding of collected data and used in data presentation for the simplification of
numbers. It makes numbers to fall in a range of 0 to 100 through the use of percentage
analysis the data are reduced in the standard form with the base equal to 100 which facilitates
relative comparison. In this study data collected through questionnaire are analyzed through
the percentage of investors.
The formula used here is:

From the above table and chart clearly shows that 59% of the respondents are male
and the remaining 41% of the respondents are female. Therefore majority of the respondents
are male.

From the above table and chart clearly shows only 53% of the respondents is aged
below 25 years whereas 33% of the respondents belong to the age group of 26 35 years. 9%
of the respondents are aged between 36 45 years. 5% of the respondents belong to the age
group of above 45 years. The majority of the respondents are Below 25 years.

From the above table and chart clearly shows that only 48% of the respondents are
single and 52% of the respondents are married. This shows that the majority of the
respondents are married.

From the above table and chart clearly shows that 5% of the respondents have
completed higher secondary, 37% of the respondents have completed Under Graduation, 48%
have completed Post Graduation, only 7% has being PH.D and remaining 4% are others.
Thus majority of them are completed post graduation.

From the above table and chart clearly shows that 12% of respondents are self
employed, 21% of respondents are public employee, 52% of respondents are private
employee, 15% of respondents are professionals. Thus majority of them are private employee

From the above table and chart clearly shows that 40% of the investors earn below
Rs.20000 whereas 43% of the investors earn between Rs.20,000-Rs.50,000 Salary of
14% of the investors lies between Rs. 50,000 and 75,000. 3% of the investors earn
above Rs.75,000. Majority of the investors earn Rs.20000-Rs.50000.

From the above table and chart clearly shows that 52% of respondents are
attend any course of stock market less than 1 year,28% of respondents are attend any course
of stock market for a period of 1-3 years,17% of respondents are attend any course of stock
market for a period of 3-5 years,3% of respondents are attend any course of stock market for
a period of 5-10 years, thus the majority of the investors attend any course of stock market
less than 1 year.

INFERENCE
From the above table and chart clearly shows that 71% of investors attend any
one of course of stock exchange, and 29% of investor are not attend any one course of stock
exchange, thus the majority of investors attended any course stock exchange

RELIABILITY STATUS
The reliability is the degree of accuracy of the collected data, i.e. if the study is
repeated, the identical, results were emerged. There are various reliability coefficients.
The most commonly used is cronbachs alpha. This coefficient is based on the average
correlation of items within a test if the items are standardized. If the items are not
standardized, it is based on the average covariance among the items. The value ranges
from 0 to 1 which is interpreted as correlation coefficient. The SPSS also provides
standardized item alpha, i.e. the value that would be obtained if all items were
standardized.

INFERENCE
To find the reliability, Cronbach,s Alpha reliability was conducted for factors
influencing individual investors behavior and value being 0.703 for 23 items which is
consistent and reliable.
