6. DETAIL REPORT
This chapter contains, detail report for equipment in status shall be in this chapter considering
they have tend to failure.
Six plane of vibration points has been selected for data acquisition during the survey
Motor vibration the spiking energy was analyzed, did not indicate serious abnormality
The Rotor and Stator area are slightly running on the temperature upper limit. The usage of
an axial air remover/fan was an excellent quick solution of this problem. But we suggest to
go at the very bottom of the problem by inviting the OEM expert of the motor.
Heat is produced during the operation of an electric motor, and this heat must be dissipated
to prevent damage. Sampling thermal imaging figure were taken while the motor operating.
Excessive heat causes rapid deterioration of motor winding insulation. The common rule
states that insulation life is cut in half for every 10 C of additional heat to the windings. As an
example, if a motor that would normally last 20 years in regular service is running 40 C above
rated temperature, the motor would have a life of about 1 year.
Leading standardization organizations have concluded that 30 percent of motor failures are
attributed to insulation failure and 60 percent of these are caused by overheating. Articles
have been published stating that a significant cause of bearing deterioration is overheating.
