DRUMS

SINGING & MUSIC PERFORMANCE

Various percussion instruments will be available and

students will use them to create their own favorite beat.
We will teach them how to hold the drum sticks as well
as different rhythms so they will be able to produce
their own unique percussive melodies. Students will
play along with a contemporary song of their choosing
and participate in a band of guitar and piano players.
Rhythmic values, syncopations, pattern sequences and
rhythm complexities will be part of the course.

We will teach vocal warm-ups and exercises to train your voice.

Students will sing in harmony with each other and will learn how
to use their diaphragm (disc which vibrates in response to sound
wave) to sound like a professional singer. We will learn about
different types of vibrato, singing techniques and melodies.
Students will sing individually and as a group. Listening to their
favorite songs and singing along. We will teach the students how
to perform, increase their confidence and show them how to
bring their creativity to the best of their abilities. Students will be
taught to perform and sing, explore their talent and how to be a
pop star.

GUITAR

SONGWRITING & MUSIC PRODUCTION

We will teach all basic chords and progressions, rifts and

free style playing. Students will work in groups and will
assist each other. Hand position, posture and the right
techniques will be introduced so students will be able to
master their skills and take their playing to the next level.
We will play along with pop and rock songs and learn
chords to our favorite melodies. Students will perform
together to the beat of a drummer.

Write your first pop song. Learn about melody, song

structure and lyrics. You will learn about recording,
music production and songwriting. You will study the
music of artists such as Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and
Justin Bieber. Students will use their creativity and their
imagination to create catchy melodies and beats.

PIANO
Students will study in groups of 2-4. An intensive course
of playing, sight-reading, music theory and ear training.
Students will learn different piano techniques on how to
produce a better sound as well as exercises to increase
finger dexterity and the ability to read music. We will also
introduce different genres of music as well as various
composers and artists. Students will make up their own
piano songs and will learn to notate their work. By the end
of the camp, students will know how to read music, play
music and will go home with new acquired skills during the
summer which they will later implement in their practice.
