ISO 17025 overview


To meet the requirements for ISO 17025 Accreditation the Laboratory must
demonstrate (by external audit) that it is adhering to appropriate procedures
which control the following:

Organization and Structure

Quality System
( ISO 9002 suffices)
Staff Competence
(qualifications and training)
Test Equipment, Calibration and records
Reference equipment and standards
Measurement trace ability and accuracy
Inter laboratory proficiency testing
Laboratory environment and climate
