Introduction

What does it take for you to grow up and become spiritually mature? And why is it important for you to
grow with your salvation?
The Bible speaks a lot of verses that tells you that you need to be spiritually mature. Ephesians
4:14-15 Then we will no longer be little children, tossed like waves and blown about by every wind of
doctrine, by peoples trickery, or by clever strategies that would lead us astray. Instead by speaking the
truth in love we will grow up completely and become one with the head, that is, one with the Messiah.
There is a call for you to move forward and grow with your faith. The Lord said that we need not to
be little children, because little children are immature, they are gullible that can be easily deceived and
most of all they dont want to take responsibility but instead they only wanted to be taken care of,
someone who need to be fed, to be clothed, they dont want to lead because they only want to listen.
Grow with your faith, do the Lords ministry and be a living testimony of his greatness and start to grow
from being a baby to a matured grown up Christian.
Spiritual maturity by definition means that you need to become a fully developed Christian, a
Christian who lives righteously, steadfast and strong against temptation. And it should begin when you
accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and when you started to associate yourself as a Christian. Being a
Christian simply means that you chose to live in Christ, live his examples and do his ministries, For the
Bible said that faith that doesnt do good deeds is all alone and dead. - James2:17. So it is important for
you to grow with your salvation and start your Spiritual maturity.
In order for you to develop this Spiritual maturity in your life, you must make a choice to learn to
obey our Lord, learn to read his words and allow him to renew your mind and do all the things he
commanded to you. This In-depth Growth Program is a great help for you to start your first step for your
spiritual growth. This is designed especially for you, to help you accomplish spiritual maturity and growth.
In-Depth Growth is a comprehensive growth program designed for you to have the habits of a real
spiritually mature Christian. The program is designed as a challenge for you and has a pointing system that
could accumulate points for every challenge you accomplish. The points you accumulate will be sum up to
your group pointing system. That serves as a goal for you to attain, and your group will help you and give
you drive and encouragement to fulfill it.
These challenges are based on the acrostics of GROWTH, G-go to Church, R-read your Bible, O-obey
God, W-witness for Christ, T-talk to the Lord and Honor God through worship. The goal for you is to have
every challenge become a habit to your everyday life and become a spiritually mature Christian.Be faithful

and members of Gods household, having been built on the foundation of the
apostles and prophets, the Messiah Jesus himself being the cornerstone. In
union with him the whole building is joined together and rises into a holy
sanctuary for the Lord. You, too are being built in him, along with the others,
into a place for Gods Spirit to dwell

You are Challenged to Go to Church

In able you to move forward and grow with your faith, it is very important
to go and attend Worship Services every Sunday. For every services brings you
motivation and inspiration to live a life that is more righteous and godlier living, a
life living in faith and not in flesh, a life living with Christ.
Because faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of Christ
(Romans10:17). And where else could suit you in hearing Gods word? Nothing
else but the Church, so it is very essential for you as young Christians to obey
Gods call for you to go to Church as part of your spiritual growth as a member of
Gods Household, a member of his own church.

The Mechanics

You are challenge to go to church every Sunday and attend to Sunday

Worship Services, wearing your proper attire and proper attitude. Each Sunday
you are attending will correspond to a certain point that could be accumulated to
your Group Point Performances.
A demerit might be gathered if we have unnecessary actions affecting other

spiritual growth. Taking it as a habit can give you complete immunization to temptation
and sin, and can boost up your confidence in facing your problems and your trials in life
that you could encounter and for surely you could easily win.
For the Word of God are your daily guide and your armor for your daily battles in
your life. And it stands to have a great factor for your spiritual growth as young
individuals, so faithfully commit your time in reading the word of God and grow through
his words.

Going to church is one form of fellowship you could do but it was too general,
so it is still important for you to have other ways of having fellowship with each
other. Bible study is one good start for you; it is more personal and more intimate
since it was done per group and mostly of your age.
Having fellowship brings good relationship and builds strong friendship and
bonds with other Youth Christians that can boost your drive to move forward with
your faith and Grow together in Christ.

Just like for Going to Church Challenge, you are also encouraged to attend
every Sunday school fellowship which is conducted right after the Worship Service,
and Youth Fellowship Service which is during the afternoon. Every attendance you

Witness to others
What the Bible say?
You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cant be hidden.
People dont light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lamp stand, and it
gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine
before people in such a way that they will see your good actions and glorify
your Father in heaven.

You are Challenged to Share the Gospel
A true friend brings a friend to Christ! Sharing the truth to others is one of a good
character of a real grown up Youth Christian. As a Christian you are commanded by
Christ to proclaim the Gospel to the world (Mark 16:15) and it is very essential to
obey his command and spread the good news to everyone. And also important to start
with the people surrounding you, start with your family, love ones and your friends.

You are challenged to share the Gospel of Christ to others. For every
friend, love ones and family member you bring to Church will be correspond to a
certain points that would be accumulated to your Group pointing system. And for
every Sunday and fellowships your invitee will join will also correspond to a
special bonus point that can be added up to your Group total attaining points.

You are Challenged to Talk to the Lord thru Prayers
Daily prayer gives you a chance to talk to our Lord, a chance for you to
express your gratitude for all the things our Lord provided for you. It is also a
platform for confessing your sin and asking for help in overcoming temptation,
sin, and the challenges and trials in life.
Prayers are also your personal fellowship to our Lord, your chance to
share all aspects in your life. So as a young Christians it is very important not to
neglect your daily prayer for your spiritual growth and maturity.

Honor the lord through Worship

You are Challenged to Honor our Lord through Worship and Praise.
To offer worship and praise to the one true God is never an optional
activity for you as a believer. Because throughout the Scripture, Gods people are
invited, encouraged, exhorted indeed commanded to raise our hearts and voices
in thankful and joyful praises to the creator, redeemer and sustainer of our faith.
And as the receiver of Gods goodness and faithfulness it is only important
to honor him through our music and dance. Let everyone know his good deeds
and promises to your life, exalt him through your music and honor him through
your life. And as part of your spiritual growth, always equipped your life with a
grateful heart that sing and dance to please and honor our one true God.

Time To Think

In Old Testament times (before Jesus came), God allowed people to kill an animal
and put it on an altar as a sacrifice for their sin. The sacrifice had to be perfect
without a single spot or fault. But this sacrifice was only a sign pointing to the day
when Jesus would give His life as the real Sacrifice. When Jesus died on the cross
and rose again from the dead, His sacrifice was enough to pay for the sins of the
whole world, which means that we do not need to offer animals for the forgiveness
of our sins.
If God has given the sacrifice for our sins, what can we offer to God as a

Am I a true worshiper? You might be asking that to yourself the moment you read
on the passages. You might ask how could I worship God in spirit and in truth.
Worship is not what we do; it is an attitude of the heart. Thats why Jesus said that
true worshipers worship in spirit and in truth. Those who want to worship God in a
meaningful way must worship Him from their hearts (in spirit), with open honesty
(in truth).
True worship comes from our love and respect for God. The Bible says; Love the
Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. In other words,
we should love God with every part of us.

We sometimes think that adults mean more to God than children all because adults
are more capable of doing something for God. But God does not see it that way.
Kids, as well as adults, matter to God. Our age doesnt matter to God but we are
important because we are His creation.

How can we show love towards others people when we dont feel like it?
When things are going well, its easy to love your family and friends. But what about
the times when youre feeling miserable? And what about loving people you dont
like and who irritate you? Does God really expect you to love everyone all the time?

It may be hard to do the command of God to love the unlovable the way He loved
them, but He is always there to help you. When you feel like you dont want to love
a brother or a sister in Christ, always remember that God's love has been poured

well. We can freely ask the power of the Holy Spirit to make us love one another.

Obedience from the Lord takes strength for us. Obedience is easy when life is easy
and when what is commanded is comfortable for us to do. Obedience is rather hard
when it takes sacrifice from us.
But Jesus modeled the best obedience. Despite being the Son of God, He let the will
of the Father be done.
Does God have any command to you that needs your obedience?

The Lords prayer shows how we should pray to God, especially when we do not
know how to, or what to pray for. Jesus began His prayer by worshiping God, then He
prayed for other things. But it doesnt mean that it is the only prayer that we should
pray. God wants us to talk personally to Him. And this is an example of personal
prayer as Jesus addressed God as Father.
The relationship between friends grows stronger as they chat and get to know each
other. You would not just say the same things over and over to your friend. In the
same way, God wants to hear the words and feelings that come from your heartand
to God, thats what makes your prayer the perfect prayer.
Start praying today and write down your prayer in your prayer notebook. Talk to the
Lord, He is just waiting for you.

God has given us freedom for us to be free from the evil desires of this world, but
sometimes we imprison ourselves with the rules people have set.
Do you go to church only because youre expected to go? Do you read your Bible
only because you feel guilty if you dont? Do you do this IDGP because your leader

It is not wrong to obey the rules in the Bible, but God does not want us to be trapped
in a set of rules, and do things just because a person said you must do it for the
Lord. He wants us to obey his commands through love (1John 5:3). Living by the

Time to Think

As Jesus was climbing up to the heavens, he has said his final words to the disciples
to become witnesses for him in the world. God is also saying that to you, you are His
witness. It might seem hard to become a witness of God especially when the world
hates believers, but the disciples are willing to do what Jesus said. They know they
will one day go to heave, and so you are!
We cannot see heaven with the eyes we have now. Our eyes are not made to see
spiritual things. But that doesnt mean that heaven isnt real. When we die, or if Jesus
comes back before then, our bodies will be transformed (made new). Thenwith our
new bodieswe will be able to see just how real and beautiful heaven really is.

The Bible tells us that it is good to rest. In fact, God even commands us to rest!
(Exodus 20:9-11). So, if it is good to take it easy, is there really a difference
between resting and laziness? Laziness is when we dont do whats expected of us,
leaving work unfinished and doing things halfheartedly. Resting is giving our minds
and bodies a break. We rest by taking a break from our daily activities to sleep. The
Lord gives sleep to those he loves (Psalm 127:2). We rest in the Lord by spending
time with Him (Psalm 91:1). Always work hard and do your best and you will enjoy a
well-deserved rest.

The Christian life is like living a life of a soldier, athlete and farmer. Like soldier we
want to please God, like an athlete we want to run the race with integrity, and like a
farmer we want to enjoy the harvest of our hard labor. Although the Christian life is
hard, we dont have to go it alone. Jesus, who understands our struggles and
hardships, is with us to help us all the time. In due time we will reap the harvest of
our courageousness and braveness.
Always remember: the soldier is on the winning side and his battle will be over some
day (1 Corinthians 15:57). The athlete will win a prize when he has finished the race
(Philippians 3:14). A day will come when the farmer can rest and enjoy the harvest
(James 3:18). And one day, our troubles will be over too!

Have you ever wondered how you can be absolutely sure you will go to heaven?
There are many things that can cause you to doubt: it could be something you heard
someone say; it could be that you dont feel close to God; or it may be that you keep

God doesnt expect us to live a sinless life and never slip up. When we put our faith
in Him, He makes us perfect by the blood of Jesus. We are sinners saved by Gods

Do you sometimes feel like giving up? Paul felt that way too, especially when he is
experiencing storms in his life. Knowing that he is a loyal servant of God, yet he
experiences hardships.
Like us, we may also feel discouraged when hardships came, because we are human,
and we also have feelings. But what is important is that we dont let our feelings of
discouragement to control our actions, so we will not quit.

Time to Think
Wouldnt God get bored if we thank him for every little thing? Of course not, God is
delighted when we are grateful to Him.
Thanking God doesnt have to be a long list of good things that has happened to you
in just a time, taking God involves appreciating every little and big things he is doing
and giving to you at the very moment. Thank Him in good times and bad times for in
all things God works for good for those who love him. Thank Him in his creation.
