For the Law to be the Law, you have to keep everything in
the Law. The Law doesn't recognize words like "I try to do my best." The Law has something called blessing and curses. If you obey all the Law, you will be blessed. If you break one of the commandments of the Law, you will be cursed. Romans 7:4-7 - We don't throw out the Ten Commandments. We are delivered from the Law. We are dead to 'Mr Law' to be married to Jesus Christ. When something is dead, it doesn't respond. We should not respond to the Law. The marriage with Mr Law produced fruit to death. The marriage with Jesus Christ produces fruitfulness and life! The Law is holy, righteous and just, but it cannot make us holy, righteous or just. Holiness and sanctification come by faith. Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to anotherto Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. What shall we say then? Is the law sin?
Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known
sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, You shall not covet. (Romans 7:4-7 NKJV) When interpreting the Bible, context is king. If you remove the text, all you're left with is a con! Where sin increases, grace superabounds (In Greek: huperperisio) much more! "Increases" can be counted, but huperperisio can't be counted! When discerning whether a ministry is preaching the true gospel, look at their fruits - are souls saved? Are there testimonies of lives changed? Jesus told us to be 'fruit inspectors' - by their fruits you shall know them. Galatians 1:6-9 - The true gospel is the grace of Christ. The book of Galatians is dealing with the issue of sanctification by faith. The Galatian believers wrongly believed that they were saved by faith to be empowered to keep the Law. There is a forgotten curse - the curse of the New Testament - the double curse pronounced by Paul upon anyone who preaches a different gospel. The Lord pronounced this double curse because He loves His people. The double curse is there to protect the purity of the gospel.
This curse will stop the person from preaching the
different gospel. None of us, all of Jesus! Those who preach the true gospel will be doubly blessed! I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:6-9 NKJV) If you ask a non-believer why should God allow him to enter heaven, he will answer based on the Law and his own works Example that they would say: "I don't murder people, I am not like Osama Bin Laden or Boko Haram member . I take care of my family and provide for them." We don't need to teach sinners the Law - they already know about "do good get good, do bad get bad". It takes revelation from the Holy Spirit to understand that we get good that we don't deserve because Jesus took the bad that we deserved. If you're you're preaching, make sure to be preaching the true gospel.
Have more faith in the grace of God than in the sinfulness
of man. You want to know how bad sin is? Look at the cross. The Son of God had to die for us to receive forgiveness of all our sins. You want to know how great God's love is for us? Look at the cross. Our Heavenly Father gave up His only begotten Son whom He loves in exchange for our redemption. Hebrews 10:2 - Worshippers (believers) once cleansed should have no more consciousness of sins. If a believer still has a consciousness of sins after being saved, it is an insult to the gift of righteousness given by God. If someone has paid your debt in full and you still act as though your debt is not paid, isn't it dishonoring him? For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. (Hebrews 10:2 NKJV) We don't throw out the Ten Commandments. We are delivered from the Law. We are dead to 'Mr Law' to be married to Jesus Christ. When something is dead, it doesn't respond. We should not respond to the Law. The marriage with Mr Law produced fruit to death. The marriage with Jesus Christ produces fruitfulness!
Galatians 3:8-9 - Subject matter: justification by faith. Any
sinner who is not a Jew is a Gentile. When you are blessed, no one can stop or hinder you. Everything will work together to promote you to put you in a position of favor. When you are blessed, no human hand is long enough to stop God's hand. JACOB'S CASE STUDY Genesis 28:13 - 15 highlights God's stand and promises to Jacob. Although Jacob entered into a transaction with God that he surely will not be able to keep, Genesis 28:20 - 22, God was not perturbed by Jacob's pronouncements but kept HIS promises to Jacob. Genesis 31:4 - 9 Genesis 31:10 - 13 Genesis 31:22 - 24 So God will do what HE said HE will do not because of what you said you will do, nor because of what you have done or did not do, but simply because HE has promised HIS blessing upon you. Those who believe that they are righteous by faith are blessed with Abraham! And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham
beforehand, saying, In you all the nations shall be
blessed. So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. (Galatians 3:8-9 NKJV) While you are overwhelmed by sin, confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ. While you are watching porn, confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ! Your addiction can't be broken with human effort and will power. There is still confession of sins in the New Covenant: Under the Law, we confess our sins to be forgiven. Under grace, we confess our sins because we are forgiven! Isaiah 45:24-25 - What is faith? When you fall, say "Father I thank you that through what Jesus has done, I am the righteousness of God in Christ." Glory always follows grace and justification. He shall say, Surely in the LORD I have righteousness and strength. To Him men shall come, And all shall be ashamed Who are incensed against Him. In the LORD all the descendants of Israel Shall be justified, and shall glory. (Isaiah 45:24-25 NKJV) Wrong believing will affect the quality of your life as a believer here on earth. Abraham was called the friend of God. Abraham lived 400 years before the Law was given.
By what basis was Abraham called the friend of God? It is
by the righteousness of faith! Abraham lived after the flood. Enoch lived even before the flood, and Enoch walked with God. The Law is still needed for outward governing of society. But it does not produce inward heart transformation. Joseph lived before the Law was given. Yet he resisted Potiphar's wife and called it a great sin when she tried to commit adultery with him. True deliverance is when even the desire to commit a sin is gone. When Sarah was 65 years old, Pharaoh wanted her to be in his harem. When Sarah was 90 years old, Abimelech wanted her to be in his harem. These are 'heathen eyeball kings' - they discern beauty based on what they see with their eyes of flesh. Sarah was physically beautiful, not just inwardly beautiful. A man who has the blessing of Abraham will have a wife whose youth is renewed, beautiful and young! We are forgiven in Christ and we are righteous in Christ. Galatians 3:9-10 - The moment we take our position to try to be righteous through the Law, we will be under the curse.
If you believe in keeping the Law, you must keep it all. If
not you will be under the curse. So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them. (Galatians 3:9-10 NKJV) Galatians 3:13 - Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the Law. Why did Jesus die on the cross and not by another way like stoning? It is so that He would redeem us from the curse - cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree), (Galatians 3:13 NKJV) Deuteronomy 28:3-4 - In Deuteronomy 28, there are 14 verses on blessing. There are 54 verses on curses. Why are the curses elaborated with such detail? It is because some people are confused - they think that some of the curses are blessings. Blessing doesn't come from location. The blessing is on you. The fruit of your body is your children - Your children will be blessed!
Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you
be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. (Deuteronomy 28:3-4 NKJV) Deuteronomy 28:12-13 - Borrowing is not a sin, but it is not good. The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. (Deuteronomy 28:12-13 NKJV) Deuteronomy 28:59-61 - The wisdom of the Lord is to show you what you are redeemed from! We are redeemed from every sickness and disease! then the LORD will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plaguesgreat and prolonged plagues and serious and prolonged sicknesses. Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the LORD bring upon you until you are destroyed. (Deuteronomy 28:59-61 NKJV) Deuteronomy 28:65-68 - Stress and no rest is a curse. Stress can cut your life short.
The reason a disease is passed down in your family is
because of the curse, and not genetics. The last words of the curse is "no one will buy you". Under the curse, no one will buy you. But Christ did! He redeemed you! And among those nations you shall find no rest, nor shall the sole of your foot have a resting place; but there the LORD will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and anguish of soul. Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life. In the morning you shall say, Oh, that it were evening! And at evening you shall say, Oh, that it were morning! because of the fear which terrifies your heart, and because of the sight which your eyes see. And the LORD will take you back to Egypt in ships, by the way of which I said to you, You shall never see it again. And there you shall be offered for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you. (Deuteronomy 28:65-68 NKJV) The moment we take our position to try to be righteous through the Law, we will be under the curse. If you believe in keeping the Law, you must keep it all. If not you will be under the curse. Galatians 3:11-12 - The just (righteous) will have eternal life by faith. The just shall recover from sickness and have full vigor by faith. The Law is not of faith. Law and grace cannot mix. They are as separated as oil and water.
But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God
is evident, for the just shall live by faith. Yet the law is not of faith, but the man who does them shall live by them. (Galatians 3:11-12 NKJV) In Romans, the focus is on how to be justified. In Galatians, the focus is on how to live after having been justified. You cannot find one example in the Bible where Jesus takes something away from someone. Jesus borrowed Peter's boat, and He gave Peter and the fishermen a net-breaking, boat-sinking catch of fishes! Jesus does not give sickness and disease to people. Jesus does not give poverty and lack to people. Some people say that God does the above to teach you lessons, to make you humble. That is not true! What can you give to Jesus? Everything that you have came from Him anyway. The goodness of God leads us to repentance. We receive from God first. Matthew 9:29 - It's about believing, not about performance. Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith let it be to you. (Matthew 9:29 NKJV) As believers, we don't suffer curses or what Jesus suffered at the cross.
We suffer persecution - we don't hit back when being
made fun of for our faith - that's an example of suffering for Christ. Luke 8:48 - It's not about your performance - it's about what you believe in. And He said to her, Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace. (Luke 8:48 NKJV) When you pray and believe that God is listening, it is done for you. It is not by feelings. It is by believing! An elderly grandma can be at home praying and God can be moving nations through her prayers - Prayer is so powerful. It can turn the wheels of destiny. Luke 17:5-6 - The mustard seed is the smallest seed. Don't wait until your faith is strong - just speak it and believe - use your faith! The simplicity of faith - the less you think about it, the easier it is to believe. And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith. So the Lord said, If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea' and it will obey you."
