GOP voices condemning remarks by the presumptive presidential nominee reached a crescendo Monday, but one of Donald Trump's biggest supporters
Gov. Chris Christie remained mum the day before
New Jersey's primary election.
Prominent Republicans scolded Donald Trump for
using heritage to question the impartiality of U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who oversees a lawsuit
against Trump University.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich tweeted that Trumps offensive is flat-out wrong.
Trump, Kasich wrote, should apologize to Judge
Curiel & try to unite this country.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio chimed in: Its wrong
and I hope he stops.
On a Sunday talk show, Senate Majority Leader
Mitch McConnell said he couldnt disagree more
with Trumps statements about Curiels impartiality.
Former House speaker Newt Gingrich pointedly suggested that Trump start acting like a potential leader

Sandra Solly fought Neptune Township, saying her house was not abandoned. In May, a judge dismissed her fines.

OCEAN GROVE - Sandra Solly paid off her blue

Victorian house in this seaside community in 1999.
She doesnt live at the home at 96 Lawrence Ave. anymore and says she has been holding onto it, waiting
for the right time to sell.
The house has aged less than gracefully. Shingles
are missing, and the back yard is overgrown, but its
not out of place on its block. Its condition, though, was
enough for the Neptune Township government to list
the home as abandoned and hand Solly a fine that
could have been as high as $2,000, in line with the
townships abandoned-property ordinance.
The 75-year-old Solly thought the fine was a sham
and challenged the township in court, representing
herself and hand-writing her argument. And she won.
A state Superior Court judge found her not guilty and
dismissed her fines, raising questions over the validity of the ordinance.

an uncertain future.
Mayor Anthony Vaz and the Borough Council voted
unanimously June 1 to remove the Seaside Heights
Animal Welfare Organization as administrators of a
4-year-old program aimed at trapping, neutering and
then releasing cats back into managed colonies,
where they are then fed and sheltered.
The mayor said the controversial decision was
made because the animal welfare group which does
