1. Flashing full MIUI ROM pack on the phone

Download necessary files to prepare for flashing MIUI ROM
Note
Flashing a newer version of MIUI ROM doesnt need to wipe data, but flashing an older one does.
STEP 1
Download the latest MIUI ROM Download Now
If you have downloaded the latest installation pack, there is no need to download it again.
STEP 2
Connect your phone to the computer, and put the ROM file to the folder downloaded_rom in the SD
card. Open Updater on the launcher, press the Menu button Select installation file. Choose the
ROM pack you want to flash, and select Update now.

Original recovery image grabbed from WCDMA Hongmi (also should work with TD version)
recovery.zip (5.31 MB, Downloads: 3005)

To flash it u need to be rooted (check Framaroot app)

Download Mobile Uncle MTK Tools
Unzip file contents (recovery.img) to the root of SD card
Choose "Recovery Update" in MobileUncle, select first item in appeared list (sd card recovery.img) and confirm

Hi, Hongmi can NOT be root actually with 3.11.22 ROM.

This ROM is not root.

Any program as Vroot or Framaroot does NOT work.
Have to wait for a future Hongmi ROM that can be root as the MI2S and others.

Yes, it applies to the WCDMA version too. All MIUI ROMs have Chinese and English by default.
