Robert:

This is our way to show that all districts are in solidarity with each other.

Rhian:

Sakto ka Kuya! Unya white symbolizes purity man diba?

Robert:

Yes! But Rhian, despite wearing white shirts, all districts for sure do not forget where
they come from and I am pretty sure they are proud of their district colors.

Rhian:

So with that, let us all be proud and cheer as we welcome the 30 th LWYD animators
to showcase the district colors!

Hi!

Rhian:

Hello youth of Cebu!

Robert:

By the way, we would like to thank the University of Cebu Dance Company and the
30th LWYD Animators for giving us those wonderful presentations.

Rhian:

Kuya Robert, change topic ko kadiyot. Beauty queen man gyud ko, unya youth pa

Robert:

Hoy! Kahugyaw ana uy! Unya youth man sab ko sa Archdiocese, Ill accept your
challenge. Throw me the question.

Rhian:

Your question is, How to become pure?

Robert:

(answer)

Rhian:

Wow! Raynahunon!

Robert:

Thank you! Lain pay ato Rhian, naa pud koy question para nimo.

Rhian:

Yes? And what would that question be?

Robert:

Who is the father of the Local World Youth Day?

Rhian:

Thank you for that wonderful question. Abi kog lisod, ka-sayon ba. Our beloved, his
eminence Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal, Archbishop-emeritus of the Archdiocese of Cebu.

Robert:

Correct! Siya ang nagpasiugda sa localized version sa World Youth Day niadtong
siyang pasalamatan.

Rhian:

Ladies and gentlemen, as we pay gratitude to him, let us all take a glimpse and look
back at the journey and life of His Eminence, Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal.

TRIBUTE TO CARDINAL
Rhian:

Kuya Robert, looking at the past, I realized it is such a heartwarming experience to

be a youth of the Archdiocese.

Robert:

Mao gyud! After 30 long years, the LWYD celebration has grown to become the most
awaited annual youth gathering sa Simbahang Katoliko sa Sugbo.

Rhian:

Sakto jud kaayo ka, Kuya! And mind you, what we had was opening pa!

Robert:

Now Rhian, what do you expect to happen tonight?

Rhian:

Ako, I dont expect anything tonight but what I feel is just pure excitement. Kamo?
Excited ba mo sa mga mahitabo unya?

Rhian:

Part man sab gyud sa

pinalanggang Amahan sa Artsidiyosese para sa atoang Dialogue with the
Archbishop.

Robert:

Unsa man jud ang mahitabo ani Rhian?

Rhian:

Tagaan nato sila og chance nga personal kining
mapangutana kang Archbishop.

Robert:

Nindot gyud diay kaayo ni nga bahin sa LWYD kay we will have the privilege to air
out our questions to our beloved Archbishop. Mura ta og mga anak nga nangayo og
mga tubag gikan sa atong Amahan.

Rhian:

So, atoa na ning sugdan.
(Leaves the stage and searches for the assigned
person.)

DIALOGUE WITH THE ARCHBISHOP

Robert:

Ug mao kato ang last nga pangutana nato para kaniya. Daghan kaayong salamat,
Archbishop! (You
may include personal insights here.)

Rhian:

Busa, let us all live out what Pope Francis challenged us, Filipino Youth. We need to
THINK, FEEL, and DO the advices that we have just heard. Sayang kayo ang mga
maayong pulong kon dili nato buhaton.

Robert:

Mao gyud!

Daghang salamat pag-usab, Archbishop!
(Encourages everyone to say thank you.)

(Archbishop exits.)
Transition: LWYD Theme Song (Animators)
V/O:

As we take a glimpse of the past celebrations of the LWYD, we are all challenged to
learn from our past, reinvent and respond to the challenges of the modern times. As
one youth, we show to the world our giftedness and our versatility to adapt to
changing times.

This is the 2015 Pasigarbo sa Distrito Reinventing the Past, Living the Present,
Responding to the Future!
The mechanics of this years Districts Presentations:
Each district was challenged to reinvent an assigned past LWYD Theme Song and
use it as material for a hip-hop dance presentation. Let us all witness as we give a
twist to the songs which are all familiar to us, and cheer for our own districts as we
begin with the first presentation from District 1!

Rhian:

Unsay buot nimo pasabot Kuya?

Robert:

Rhian:

Unsa na Kuya? As far as I know, International Eucharistic Congress man next year?
Kanang IEC noh?

Robert:

Yes. Dili lang gyud ni IEC. As a matter of fact, it will be the first time in the history of
the Eucharistic Congresses nga magpahigayon og Youth Day! So next year, we will
be having a youth gathering within the International Eucharistic Congress!

Rhian:
Day?
Robert:

Mao ba na ang International Eucharistic Congress Youth Day? Or IEC Youth

With that, among giawhag ang tanan sa pagbarog ug dungan ta sa pagsugat og
pag-abiba sa International Eucharistic Congress isip pagpakita nga kita
naghinamhinam sa maong panagtapok.

Entrance of the Symbol

V/O:

kadagkuan sa IEC Youth Day.

Rhian:

That was Jay-arr Librando, the composer and lyricist of the IEC Hymn, and the Tabor
Hill Choir.

Robert:

Pagkaanindot ug pagka-inspiring gyud sa kanta, Rhian, noh?

Rhian:

Bitaw, kuya, nice kayo and full of meaning kayo ang kanta!

Robert:

Before we proceed, tagaan nato og chance ang katong mga nanganta sa IEC Hymn
to introduce themselves.
buntag.

Rhian:

So may we call on the members of the Tabor Hill Choir...
