Exercise I: Transport the role that was created in client 800 in

/nPFCG-Transaction to create/display/change role.


Enter the name of the Role you created last week in client 800.
Role name: Z_BATCH(n0)_HELPDESK_(your initials)
Select the change icon:
Should see a message role does not exist

To transport the role from client 800 ,log on to client 800 using
your username & password.

/nPFCG - Transaction to create/display/change role.


Enter the name of the Role you created last week in client 800.
Role name: Z_BATCH(n0)_HELPDESK_(your initials)
Select the change icon to make sure the role exists.
Select the transport icon (truck) on the menu bar.

Another screen would pop-up :


Check the option: Also transport the generated profiles of the
roles.
Select the execute icon.

Another screen would pop-up. Select the green check mark.

Another screen would pop-up :


Check the Personalization option.
Do no select user assignment:
user assignment would transport even the information regarding
the users to whom the role was assigned to in client 800.

Select the check mark.

Another screen would pop-up:


To create a new request for transport: select the create icon.

Another screen would pop-up:


Short description: Transport Request for Help-desk role.
Note that the Target is set as KQ1.
This is because by default you would be expected to transport
from one system to another- not from one client to another within
a system.
This could be changed later.
Select the save icon.

Will bring you the previous screen where you can see a assigned
transport request ID:
Note down your request ID.
Select the check mark.

Will bring you another screen where you can see information on
the transport request.

/nSE01- Transaction to view Transport Organizer.


Enter the request ID you were assigned earlier.
Select the display tab.
Will show you the transport request that you just created.

OR

/nSE10- Transaction to view the transport organizer.


Select the :Modifiable option
Display.
Will show you all the modifiable transport requests you have.

Under your transport request ID - you will see both a request and
under the request a task.
First the task has to be released and then the request has to be
released.
First keep the cursor on the task Select Request/Task from the
Main menu bar- Select Request option- Release directly.
A message task released to request will be displayed.
Then keep the cursor on the request- Select Request/Task from the
Main menu bar- Select Request option- Release directly.
A message request released will be displayed.

Refresh the screen till the Transport Request ID turns blue (from
red). The role has now being transported to the buffer of KQ1.

Select the truck icon.

Will bring you to a screen displaying the import overview for


different systems- a condensed screen looking at the buffer.
Double click on system KQ1.

You should see the transport request id in buffer of KQ1.

Select the back-arrow and come to the previous screen.


Double click on system KD1- we need to add the transport request
to the buffer of KD1.
From the Main menu bar- select Extras-Other requests-Add
A screen would pop-up :
Enter the request ID you wish to add to buffer of KD1 :
Select the check mark.
A message Add Transport request KD1900nnn to import Queue KD1?
Would appear?
Select yes

Refresh the screen until you see the request we just added in the
buffer of KD1.
Once you see it in the buffer:
Keep the cursor on your request ID - and select the import icon
(partial truck)

Another screen would pop-up:


Target client: 700 (client to which the transport is to take
place)
In the date tab:

Select Immediate

Select the Execution tab:


Select Asynchronous

Select the Options tab:


Check:
Check:

Import Transport Request again


Overwrite Originals.

Select the check mark.

Refresh the screen until you see the green check mark indicating
that the import has been completed successfully.

Log on to client 700


Username: shishya
Password: welcome

/nPFCG- Transaction to create/change/display role.


Enter the name of the role created in client 800:
Role: Z_BATCH(no)_HLPDESK_(your initials)
Select the change icon.
This time you should be able to view your role that was created
in client 800.
