CHAPTER II
2.1.GENERAL :
As only most required controls are provided on ANANDHA
JOTHI Time Interval Meter, time Interval between two signals viz,
former to start the counting and latter to stop the counting, can be
measured by merely connecting those signals to the terminals
provided on the front panel of the instrument and selecting the
proper start/stop modes.
2.2. PANEL DISCRIPTION : FRONT PANEL
1. Mains Power Switch
When set to ON Position the instrument is ready for Operation.
2. Reset Switch
By pressing this switch (Push Button) display is reset to Zero
3. Start /Stop mode selection switch
This is a two position selector switch and is used to select the
desired start / stop modes. ( NO / NC)
4. Time Base AUTO RANGE
Selection : 99.999 Sec. 99.999Sec, 999.99sec, 1Sec.
00.000 TO 99.999 SEC.
CHAPTER III
TIMER TEST TERMINALS : RED & BLOCK
In connection Test terminals start / stop signal should be
connected to this terminal.
2.3. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
Set Power switch ON position. All the digits of LED display
should read zero, if not then press reset push button. Connect the
start signal between terminals T1 & T2 Select the proper mode
(NO/NC) before applying the signal. Same way connect the stop
signal.
The instrument is now ready for receiving the stipulate star / stop
signal. Give supply to the set up of which you want to measure
the time.
CHAPTER IV

APPLICATIONS:
ANANDHA JOTHI TIME INTERVAL METER can be used for a
large number of applications where elapse to time between any two
events is to be measured. A few representative applications are
explained in detail in the following explanatory notes:RELAY / CIRCUIT BREAKER OPERATE TIME :
Set the start mode switch NO/NC position. Connect the start
terminals T1 & T2 in parallel with the circuit. As soon as voltage
across relay coil appears start signal is applied to the meter and
instruments starts counting. N/O Position and connect normally
open contact of the relay will be closes, meter stops counting. The
recorded figure on the LED read out is the operate of relay/circuit
breaker.
