Manhatta The Patriarch of the Pantheon, Keeper of Knowledge
The Necron sect known as the Congregation, who worship
the Ctan Shards they have released as Gods, recognise Manhatta as the father of His kind. They insist he created all Ctan, and that His is the power of time and space. Having finally brought Manhatta together with the foul creature known as the Necrossiah, His followers have seen His power swollen to truly divine proportions. His silence broken, Manhatta no longer simply symbolically leads the Congregation, but lords over them like a fell king. His proclamations are of war and death, and He expects nothing from His Congregation but total and utter obedience. Dominion of all that live is His ultimate goal. All beings within this Galaxy are His slaves, though most do not know it yet. It is thus that His procession marches onward, heralding the coming of His Majesty, and his enemies doom.
Saronept, Priest of Death
Hakhtonym. Priest of Life
Since its inception, the Congregation has been led by a
High Priest. These have most often been Necron Lords, for of course they are the some of the only ones among their kind with the will to lead. The most recent Lord to hold the title was Jhaphar, a Lord of one of the Novokh Dynastys outer coreworlds. Jhaphar was destroyed at the hands of one of his bretheren, Nejemati the Executioner, who deemed his fanatical ravings as an affront to the Necron Empire and his sworn oaths to the dynasty.
The Blessed Few and The Devoted
Necron Immortals maintain a very pale shade of the
personality they possessed in life. Mostly, this simply allows them to show the proper deference to their superiors, as well as more deeply analyse battlefield scenarios. However those Immortals who as Necrontyr were worshippers of the long lost Gods of that society, or indeed perceived their nobles as the children or indeed reincarnation of divine beings have found themselves drawn irresistibly to the ranks of the Congregation. Whilst they cannot understand the true gravity of their actions, these soldiers nonetheless protect the priests and other believers with all the discipline they once showed they military leaders. Their Gauss Blasters and Tesla Carbines sing glorious hymns to Manhatta as they accompany his procession.
The Unworthy and The Unhallowed
From the Imperium to the Eye of Terror, every cult needs
the great unwashed masses: the sheep to the priests shepherds. So too in the Congregation hidden within the Novokh Dynasty. Necron Warriors provide the perfect shells to be filled with the will of Manhatta and His progeny, for their own is weak, and little more than a few scant lines of battle-code. Fully subsumed by the mind of their Ctan master, these soldiers are unique amongst others of their kind because they are capable of producing sound. Whilst some Necron Warriors have been known to emit shrieks upon their destruction, these are merely malfunctions. The Warriors of the Congregation instead constantly chant devotions to their Gods. That they are ultimately incapable of actual worship is irrelevant. All that matters is that the enemy know the name of their doom, and understand the finality of his magnificence.
The Altar of Rebirth
Sacred nexus of his holy power
Chief amongst the powers attributed to Manhatta is his
ability to wield the very forces of creation. By his hand raw energy forged, and new matter brought forth where there once was none. It is fitting therefore, that the Monolith that serves as a mobile monument to His greatness should be known as the Altar of Rebirth. No one amongst the Congregation, not even the Twin Priests at its head, know where this Monoliths Eternity Gate leads. Nevertheless, when lower members of the cult are slain, no sooner do their metal bodies fall silent that new arriors emerge from its eldritch portal. Whether these are the fallen reborn or simply unwilling replacements is unknown, though they always bear the livery and dynastic glyphs of the Novokh Dynasty. Woe betide the members of the Congregation if the owners of these soldiers should
