EXECUTIVE
SUMMARY
VISION
SolarTech envisions becoming the first company in the country
that will provide sufficient renewable energy source with water system at
the same time for the entire country.
MISSION
SolarTech Company aims to provide all the Filipino residence with
clean water and sufficient friendly source of energy through a basic
system so that anyone may adopt.
FEASIBILITY CRITERIA
As a group of mechanical engineers the feasibility study focus in
the technical aspect of the company, since the company is more on
development of energy and water source this will help the countrys
energy shortage as well as water shortage due to geographical location of
the Philippines during El Nio.
The study is a solution for the long term problem of many rural
areas within the country, especially those remote places. The company
considered the possible cost for a certain project, this will greatly affect
the possible outcome due to many factors that must be consider.
PROPONENTS
The proponents composed of mechanical engineering students:

MODE OF FINANCING
Through collaboration with the local government, the budget will
be coming from the allocated budget for electrification and irrigation of a
certain community.
MARKETING
ASPECT
This section covers the marketing aspect of solar panels with tracking
system through water system throughout the Philippines. The focuses on
marketing are the market description; Demand analysis; Identification and
Analysis of Demand; Estimated of past and present demand; supply analysis,
market share; marketing plan and program and other major consideration.

COMPETITORS ANALYSIS
SolarTech Company develops existing solar panels to produce
enough electricity for powering a community and at the same time build
a water system that will sustain the need of people.
The possible direct competitors are the large distributor of solar
panels with existing solar trackers.
The indirect competitors are those companies that also provide
alternative energy source aside from solar panels such as wind turbines
and existing power plants.
Through application of electronics to the solar panels, it can follow
the suns movement throughout the day and its rises the capability of the
panel to generate energy. However, this advance technology is too
complex to operate and expensive to avail by the unfortunate societies.
That why, we apply mechanical studies to make the idea less expensive
and affordable. To follow the suns movement without electronic
application, we use the principle of a seesaw. The panel is balance by the
counter weight on the other side; by the idea of lever as two bodies
attached to opposite of the beam with fulcrum at the middle will only
balance if and only if the weight of two and distance with respect to
fulcrum is equal and proportional. Then, a damper is place below the
panel to prevent the random movement of the panel cause by strong
wind and in some instances when the balancing on each side is too fast
causing the panel to move rapidly, this will make the panel inefficient to
harness the solar energy.
IV. INDUSTRY ANALYSIS
Priority projects of many local governments unit is concerning
electrification of remote areas as well as water irrigation or supply for its
people. This result is because nowadays, electricity is already considered
as the fourth of the primary needs of human, meaning the electricity next
to water plays a great role with the development of a certain locale, thus
the country as well.
Renewable energy sources are in large demand due to shortage of
petroleum fuel which is the main source of energy for producing energy.
To overcome this issue, the use of renewable energy resources needs to
be enhanced manifold. The main purpose of this paper is to design a
system which will cause better alignment of Photo voltaic (PV) array with
sun light and to efficiently harvest solar power more without any need for
input power. Damping Mechanism is used to drive the solar panel for
directing to the sun rays during the day and the attached process of
some short of fluid machineries involved.
Segmentation
Since the target market was the Local governments, the industry
was segmented in the following manner:
Annual allocated budget (Economic based)
a. High Income group
- Class A
- Class B
- Class C
- Class D
V. DEMAND ANALYSIS
A. Identification Analysis of Demand Determinants
a.
Population
b.
Income
The proponents include the group of all allocated budget for
certain barangays.
The barangay can appropriate not more than 55% of the total
annual income actually realized during the next preceding fiscal year for
personal services.
The illustrative computation of FY 2000 PS is presented below:
Income from regular sources realized during the next preceding
fiscal year (1998) P100,000 x 55% P 55.000
Less: Total PS Appropriations P 70,000
Excess in PS Appropriations P 15,000

c.
Prices
The proponents strategy in pricing their product will surely fit the
budget of everyone. They will price their product at a lower amount than
those of their direct competitors. Even if the price is lower, it would not
sacrifice the quality of the food. The proponents consider the price which
the respondents show that 50% of them are willing to buy our products
ranging from P 500,000 P 1,000,000.

IX. Marketing Plan and Program
Term of Sale
Solar Panels with tracking system with simultaneous water
pumping system driven only by a Ram pump are novel of its kind.
Strategically planned on how to immediate promotion of the product will
be provided, to facilitate instantaneous development of the company.
PROTECTION OF THE PRODUCT
The Design will be patented to protect its novelty. The design will
also be apply to International patenting office for future possible projects.
Distribution Network
Major parts after assembling will be immediately deliver to the
sites for installations. Temporary stockroom will be provided within the
sites vicinity for the delivered components. Shipments of the assembled
parts for distant sites, tracking system will be done for remote sites.
Packaging Design
Correct, safe and careful packaging of solar panels is becoming
an increasing issue in an industry in which many companies compete
against each other with similar products and pricing plays a crucial role.
There already exist some companies specializing in solar (PV) module
packaging, offering advanced packaging materials and sound packaging
solutions.
There will be global standards at a certain point of time to which
more and more manufacturers will adhere. Until then, when importing
solar panels overseas, make sure at multiple steps from the purchase,
packaging, loading, transport, to the arrival and unloading that your
panels are packed safely and handled cautiously.
Advertisement and Promotion
Promotion and advertising is one of the crucial steps in building a
company, it dictates the companys potential. The company will
collaborate first with national government for easy dissemination of the
project to local units. Ads in the newspapers will also serve as promotion
of the company. Seminars about the awareness with the product and its
purpose will be given to different provincial government units. Online
advertisements will also used since nowadays people are becoming more
dependent on technology.
