releasing a locking screw with the strncial tool provided,
wktich locks the switch in the OFF trnsition,

Lamp
specifically
for charging the battery from this lamp. Tkre
charger, and ttre battery assembly, during charging, are not
covered by this certificate.
Battery charging may only be
done in a non hazardous area.
The charger enclosure his a
matching recess, with spring loaded terminals at the bottom,
into wtrich the battery fits.
Tkre battery charger circuit
is
designed such that it will detect full charge of the battery
and switch
the charging current
to trickle
wtren the
batteries are fully chargeC, and this condition is indicated
by a light on the charger.
Tkre hanClamp has a T4 rating for a maximumambie4t of 35oC,
or 170"C (T3) rating for a rnaximumambient of G5"C. Due to
the hazard of static electric
build up, or trnssible damage
to the Snlycarbonate lens, the lamp may only be cleaned with
a wet cloth.
Hydrocarbon solvents or a dry cloth are not
suitable.

to that
described in ttre First schedule, except that the batteries
will remain in the lamp during recharging.
The lamp has two charging
studs projecting
from the
underside of the body, each stud having a reaa with two
diodes in series and a push connector. one fits on to a tag
on one terminal of the battery assembly, the other to a
terminal strip on the lamp body directly
connected to the
other terminal of the battery.
The diodes are connected
such that ttrey permit a charging current
to flow, but
prevent current flow out of the hand ramp from the knttery.
In
addition,
a vent
provided
hole
is
prevent
to
pressurisation
of ttre enclosure due to gassing thai could
occur due to faurty charging of the cerls.
TLris vent hore
is plugged with a porous trnrmeable high density polyethyrene
(trade name "VyOt{ F") filter,
beneath the rating p1ate,
-these
wtrich holds ttre filter
in place.

nrcdifications are shown on Drawing No M-251-346-I.
Due to
the nature of the filter
in the breather hole, the enclosure
remains rP54. For this version of the lamp only batteries
with a connectlon tag part no. 251EI6B may be lsed.
Tkre
hand lamp is designed to be clipped on to the charger, such
that
the 2 charging
terminals
make contact
with
the
appropriate terminars of the charger.
Ttre charger circuit
is designed such that it will detect full
charge of the
battery and svitch the charging current to trickle wtren the
batteries are fully charged, and this condition is indicated
by a light
on the charger.
An alternative
charger is
avairable for charging the laryr in a vehicle.
Thris version
does not provide indication
of the reduction to trickle
charge rncde.
