EMERGENCY ACTIVITIES
1. Class meeting : Hold a class meeting to discuss what just
happened. Talk about what went well and how the class can
better improve for next time.
2. Journal time : Show a writing prompt and ask students to respond
to it in their journals (it can be either about what just happened
or something different).
3. Resume Lesson : If there is enough time, simply pick up where
the lesson was disrupted.

GRADE/DEPARTMENT-WIDE PROCEDURES
Preparing students and faculty in the case of an emergency
event (weather related, bomb threat, shooting, etc.)
To prepare for these situations, the school should practice the
procedures yearly.
