Admission Requirements of Individual Exchange Programme (For Regular Term-Time, 2016-17)

Important Notes
1)

Information provided in this table is for reference only. Partner universities may change their admission requirements or academic programmes for exchange students from time to time. You are required to go to the official website of
the partner universities to look for the most up-to-date information. The decisions on admission and programme/course registration will rest with the partner universities.

(CUHK Outgoing Exchange Programs 2016-17) for details. Please submit your online application through OAL if you wish to apply for the BBA student exchange programmes.

For all BBA exchange programmes which have TOEFL/IELTS requirement and those programmes marked with # you have to input into your online application form a valid TOEFL score (or IELTS score, if applicable) before 19
January 2016 (12:00 noon). Otherwise, you will NOT be considered as an eligible applicant for that particular programme. You should apply for the TOEFL/IELTS test as soon as possible (when necessary), and remember to
input your TOEFL/IELTS test score and upload your score report to your online application form. Please read the sample instruction file at http://www.oal.cuhk.edu.hk/files/outgoing/sampleAppCUSIS.pdf carefully.

Course Load Requirement During Exchange


For Undergraduates
- Students in the new curriculum must enroll in a minimum of 9 units and obtain passing grades in at least 6 units of courses per term (or equivalent, except summer term).
- Students in the old curriculum must enroll in a minimum of 12 units and obtain passing grades in at least 9 units of courses per term (or equivalent, except summer term).
- Failure to comply with the aforementioned requirements may cause complications to the graduation and/or 100% repayment of financial support under the CUHK Student Exchange Financial Aid and Scholarship Scheme (FASS).
- A statement worded a completed academic record of this degree programme should include the academic transcript(s) from the exchange partner(s) which can be provided separately by the student will be printed on their CUHK
transcript.
For Postgraduates
Students should enroll in a number of courses which meets the minimum course load requirement of their CUHK full-time postgraduate programme.

For students who wish to go to United Kingdom to exchange: Students are recommended to sit for IELTS (UKVI Academic) test to fulfill UK (Tier 4) student visa requirement. Further information on the approved test can be
referred to the British Council Hong Kong website https://ielts.britishcouncil.org.hk/iorps/html/registration/selectExamTypeServlet.do?vEngine= and the UK Visas and Immigration website https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa. This
requirement table will be updated from time to time to reflect relevant change(s) to the individual programmes IELTS requirements. (Please refer the latest update on 26 October 2015)

For students who are in their first year of study at CUHK or do not have a TOEFL/IELTS score or do not have a cumulative GPA that meets the requirement of their desired programme choices while submitting
the application: Please select "OU9999 - Choices to be updated" under "Host Institution" and select one of the four options under "Programme" according to their situation in the online application form.
