Legends and
leaders
Jeep Jamborees are off-road adventure weekends that bring together the outdoors, down-
to-earth people, and their Jeep 4x4s. These off-road treks have a long tradition dating
back to 1953 when 4x4 pioneer Mark A. Smith organized the first-ever Jeep Jamboree and
voyaged across the Sierra Nevada Mountains by way of the old Rubicon Trail. In 1954, Willys
Motors – then manufacturer of Jeep vehicles – became involved with the adventure, and Jeep
Jamborees have been an off-road tradition ever since.

A member of the Off-Road Hall of Fame and the Explorers Club, Mark A. Smith also led the
1978-79 Expedicion de las Americas – a 20,000-mile odyssey from the bottom of South
America to the top of North America, crossing the infamous Darien Gap – and headed the
1987 Camel Trophy expedition in Madagascar. Since founding Jeep Jamboree USA in 1982,
Mark has become a Jeep brand consultant and has conducted intensive training for the U.S.
Army Special Forces and law enforcement agencies. The Smiths’ Jeep Jamboree USA conducts
over 30 family-oriented Jeep 4x4 trips nationwide and is truly a family business. Daughter
Jill, President and CEO, brings camaraderie and excitement to thousands of Jeep 4x4 trips
annually, while son-in-law Pearse Umlauf, Vice President and General Manager, is focused on
expanding Jeep Jamboree USA, the world’s largest Jeep 4x4 adventure company.
 Trail Ratings
Every Jeep Jamboree is rated from 1 (easiest) to 10 (most difficult). These ratings are based on the overall trail, not just on one
or two tough obstacles. Rain can increase ratings on all trails by one or two points. Numerically higher-rated Jamborees are
more likely to result in vehicle damage. Please remember, every Jeep 4x4 is subject to inspection prior to trail departure.

Obstacles and terrain are relatively easy to navigate.
In optimum weather conditions, some trails may not
require continual use of four-wheel drive (4WD).

3-5
Moderately demanding. Challenge for novice drivers.
Obstacles may include: mud holes, boulders, and
streams. Requires 4WD with 4LO.

6-7
Demanding. Challenge for most skill levels. Mud holes,
get deeper, boulders get larger, and climbs get steeper.
Requires 4WD with 4LO.

Very Demanding. Likelihood of getting stuck is high.

8-9
Mud holes may be deep, and rock climbing is more
arduous. Lifts and lockers are helpful. Requires 4WD
with 4LO.

Extremely demanding. Reserved for the toughest off-road

trip in the USA – the Rubicon Trail. Requires 4WD with 4LO.

Grand Cherokee, or Commander)

NOTE: Some Jeep 4x4 models may be more susceptible to
vehicle damage on trails rated 5 or higher. If you have any
questions about your Jeep 4x4’s capability, please ask for
more information upon event registration.
 WHAT’S A JEEP JAMBOREE?
It’s a full two-day, family oriented four-wheel-drive adventure that’s probably
unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Jeep Jamborees cater to every
level of expertise so they’re fun for everyone — from novice to veteran
and everyone in between. Any Jeep vehicle with a 4-LO transfer case can
participate — that includes everything from showroom stock all the way up
to highly modified rigs. Experienced guides help navigate you through scenic
switchbacks and some of the most challenging off-highway situations you
never thought your Jeep vehicle was capable of. And, perhaps best of all,
you’ll be meeting and making new friends along the way.

CLASSIC vs. JUST TRAILS:

“Classic” Jamborees are perfect for Jeep
adventurers who don’t want to worry about
preparing or planning meals – it’s all included! In
addition to the traditional Friday and Saturday
night dinner get-togethers, “Classic” Jamborees
provide guests with a hot breakfast as well as a
trail lunch on Friday and Saturday. Sound like a
tasty way to travel? Just look for the fork and knife
icon to identify “Classic” Jamborees.
NOTE: Meals vary. Regretfully, no accommodations can be made for dietary restrictions or special diets
“Just Trails” Jamborees include Friday and Saturday
night family style dinners, but give Jamboree guests
the opportunity to brown bag it, prepare their own
home-cooked specialties or try charming local
restaurants for their other meals. As an added
bonus, reduced meal costs for these trips allow
JJUSA to pass the savings on to you, making these
trips even more affordable for the entire family! If

NEW FOR 2010 – FAMILY PLAN PRICING
The Family Plan is designed to make the Jeep Jamboree
USA experience more affordable for families of 4 or more.
Instead of per person pricing, the Family Plan is priced
per vehicle. The Family Plan pricing for Classic Jamboree
events is $600 per vehicle, while the Just Trails Jamborees
are only $450. There are some qualifying requirements -
you must have two adults in the vehicle (no more, no less)
and two or three children (not over the age of 12). All
occupants must be traveling in the SAME Jeep vehicle.
NEW FOR 2010 - TRAILS ONLY
The Trails Only option provides an opportunity for adventure
seeking Jeep owners with a limited travel budget to enjoy
the best part of a Jeep Jamboree - the off-road trail rides.
Trail Only participants will enjoy all of the usual Jamboree
amenities (including the Saturday night prize drawing) but
are required to provide all their own meals.
The Trails Only option is offered to a limited number of
registrants (first come, first served) at each Jeep Jamboree
event. However, due to the lack of facilities; the Trail
Only option will not be offered at either the Palo Duro or
Rubicon Trail Jeep Jamborees.
NEW FOR 2010 – ARMED FORCES 15% DISCOUNT
Active members of the United States Armed Forces are
eligible to receive a 15% discount at all Jeep Jamboree USA
events. Active service members will be required to provide a
copy of their military ID card (photocopies are acceptable)
at the time of registration. This discount does not apply
to on-line orders. Call Jeep Jamboree USA headquarters
at (530) 333-4777, ext. 18 to take advantage of this 15%
discount. Active service member will be asked to present
their ID card at on-site registration.
WHAT’S THE TYPICAL ITINERARY?
Actual itineraries will vary from trip to trip, but here’s a
sample:
THURSDAY:
EVENING REGISTRATION (5-7 p.m.): Upon arrival at your
local Jamboree headquarters, attendees register, select
trails, meet with others, and have their Jeep vehicles
inspected for trail capability. On-site participants receive
nametags & stickers; which are used as registration
identification for meals & trail rides.
FRIDAY:
BREAKFAST (6:30-8 a.m.): A hearty breakfast is served to
all Classic Jamboree participants. (“Just Trails” adventurers
supply own breakfast.)
MANDATORY GENERAL ATTENDANCE MEETING (8:30 a.m.): A
brief orientation covers proper technique and details about
the day’s activities.
DEPART FOR TRAILS (9 a.m.): Participants assemble for
departure into the backcountry.
UPDATED FOR 2010 - BUY 3, GET 1 FREE!
The Buy 3, Get 1 FREE! promotion is designed for parties
of four or more adults (over the age of 12) traveling in the
SAME Jeep 4X4.
Buy 3, Get 1 FREE! gives your family or group of friends 1
free entrance pass which is to be redeemed at the time of
registration. All participants must register and pay at the
SAME time in order for this promotion to become valid.
Passengers added to a vehicle at a later date are not
eligible for this promotion.
LUNCH ALONG THE TRAIL (noon): A few hours into the trip,
we’ll break to regroup for lunch. The site chosen often has
breathtaking views. (“Just Trails” adventurers supply own
lunch.)
TRAIL RIDE CONTINUES: Participants push farther down the
trail, crossing streams, negotiating boulders, and conquering
steep grades — all under the watchful eyes of veteran Jeep
Jamboree guides.
DINNER (6-7:30 p.m.): As the afternoon draws to a close,
all vehicles return to a predetermined site where dinner is
served and the day’s adventures are shared. (“Just Trails”
adventurers are included.)
SATURDAY:
BREAKFAST (6:30-8 a.m.): Wake up to a hearty breakfast
and lively conversation. (“Just Trails” adventurers supply
own breakfast.)
MANDATORY GENERAL ATTENDANCE MEETING (8:30
a.m.): Jamboree officials review Friday’s happenings with
participants and present a brief preview of Saturday’s
itinerary. Four-wheeling tips and guidelines are examined
once more.
DEPART FOR TRAILS (9 a.m.): Trail time again!
LUNCH ALONG THE TRAIL (noon): Jamboree adventurers
stop for lunch amidst nature. (“Just Trails” adventurers
supply own lunch.)
TRAIL RIDE CONTINUES: One last chance to appreciate the
area’s natural beauty and your Jeep 4x4’s remarkable off-
highway capability.
EVENING DINNER/PRIZE DRAWING (6-8 p.m.): Everyone
gathers for dinner, immediately followed by the prize
drawing. (Including “Just Trails” adventurers.)
Reminder to all “Trails Only” participants. Meals are not
included in your trip registration fee. You are responsible
for providing all of your own meals.
WHO CAN I BRING?
Whoever you want! As long as they each have a required
seat belt in your Jeep 4x4. Bringing pets is strongly
discouraged. If your pet must attend, be sure to contact
the Jeep Jamboree USA office for specific requirements.
HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION AND WHERE DO I SEND IT?
Send your completed registration and waiver forms (link
to forms page), photocopies are acceptable, along with
your fee to: Jeep Jamboree USA, 2776 Sourdough Flat,
Georgetown, CA 95634. If you have a credit card, you
can register online at jeepjamboreeusa.com OR by phone
(530) 333-4777, ext. 18. Upon receipt of the completed
registration form and signed waiver, drivers will receive a
trip itinerary by email, which includes an accommodations
list and other necessary info 2-4 weeks after signing up for
a Jamboree. Jeep Jamboree USA office hours are 9 a.m.
– 5 p.m. PST, M-F. The official host of the event is Jeep
Jamboree USA, a division of Mark A. Smith Off-Roading, Inc.
Registration is contingent on availability. Several Jamboree
events sell out quickly. Please register early.

WHERE DO I SLEEP ON A JAMBOREE?
Although lodging isn’t covered in your fee, you’ll be sent
a trip itinerary by email (2-4 weeks after signing up for a
Jamboree) that includes a list of motels, campgrounds,
and RV accommodations in the area. When making
reservations, be sure to mention you’re attending a Jeep
Jamboree.
WHAT WILL A JAMBOREE COST?
Individual Jamboree fees vary. Please see each Jamboree
write-up for details. There’s no charge for children
five years of age or under on any Jamboree. Visa®,
MasterCard®, Discover®, American Express®, personal
checks and money orders are welcome. All fees must be
paid in advance. A $35 charge is assessed for returned
checks.

Every effort is made by Jeep Jamboree USA to make
the trails as safe as possible. Participants are advised
to closely follow instructions given by trail guides,
spotters, and Jeep Jamboree USA. However, there’s the
possibility of damage to your vehicle when traveling
rough terrain. Any damage is the owner’s responsibility.

Wrangler is the recommended vehicle for the Rubicon
Trail Jamboree. Your Jeep® four-wheel-drive vehicle is

Yes! The following is MANDATORY for all vehicles:
• Jeep vehicles must have four-wheel drive with a
low-range (4-LO) transfer case. Patriot and Compass
vehicles equipped with 4WD systems may participate in
Jeep Jamborees with trail ratings of 1 or 2.
• Front and rear tow hooks must be properly mounted to
the frame with grade-eight bolts.
• Drawbars, receiver hitches, or aftermarket bumpers with
manufacturer-installed clevis or D-ring anchor points
are acceptable alternates to tow hooks. If you don’t
have tow hooks, you may be turned away without a
refund.
• All open-topped vehicles, including older models (CJs,
Scramblers, and Willys), must have roll bars.
• A full-size spare tire; a space-saver spare (donut) just
won’t do.
• Street legal vehicle with current license plate.
DO YOU RECOMMEND ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT?
• Skid plates covering the oil pan, gas tank, and transfer
case. Mandatory for the Rubicon Trail.
• Rock rails for Jeep Liberty, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee,
and Commander vehicles registered for higher-rated
trails. Rock rails are iron moldings designed to protect
your vehicle’s rocker sills from damage. Strongly
advised for Jamborees with rocky terrain. Mandatory
for the Rubicon Trail. Please contact the Jeep Jamboree

• Heavy-duty, 20-foot nylon tow straps (20,000 pound
minimum rating) with looped ends. TOW STRAPS WITH
METAL HOOKS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
• Body lifts/suspension lifts up to six inches (combined)
are permitted. Running boards and snowplow frames
are not permitted. Tires over 37 inches are not
permitted.
WHEN IS THE CUTOFF FOR NEW TRIP REGISTRATIONS AND/
OR ADDING PASSENGERS?
You may register and/or add passengers until two weeks
prior to the trip date, subject to availability. All new trip
registrations and/or added passengers must sign a waiver.
If only adding passengers, select the “Adding Passengers

LLANO, TX – Saddle up and hit the trails in the
heart of Texas Hill Country. This Jamboree offers some
of the most challenging terrain in Texas. Held a the
historic Inks Ranch, this trip includes granite domes,
rock climbs, sandy draws, and several scenic vistas.
Located near Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, our
trail system winds around Watch Mountain, a 300-ft
wall of granite. You may even spot some wildlife, such
as aoudad, axis deer, blackbuck, and bald eagles!

OAK RIDGE, TN – The Coal Creek OHV Park
(also known as Windrock Recreation Area) offers
some of the best rock-crawling opportunities in the
country. Jeep Jamboree veterans and first-timers
alike will enjoy the majestic scenery on the 72,000
acres of off-road bliss. The more difficult trails
include off-cambers, hill climbs, rocks and mud.
Experienced anglers consider the nearby Clinch River
tailwater to be one of the finest trout fisheries in the
country. The valley through which the river flows is a
pastoral setting of wooded ridges, limestone escarp-
ments, and pastures. The banks are lined with huge
sycamores and silver maples. Tow hooks mandatory.

April 22-24
St. Francisville, LA – Magnificent gardens,
vintage plantation homes, and warm Southern
hospitality make St. Francisville a wonderful venue.
Here’s your opportunity to conquer nearby trails which
cross deep ravines, wind around sandy beaches, and
carve through heavily forested areas. The Greenwood
Trail features “Rollercoaster” - a winding trail up and
down inclines and ravines. There’s also “The Slide” - a
steep 30-foot downhill descent with a tight turn below
around a well-positioned tree. This region is sparsely
populated and densely wooded, offering spectacular
plants and wildlife.

ARCH canyon
April 29-May 01
San Juan County, UT – Set in the heart of Utah’s
remote canyon country in the scenic high red-rock desert,
this Jamboree takes you through the area of cliffs the Anasazi
Indians called home. Participants can view ancient inscriptions
and dwellings up close. One of the two trails we use traverses
Arch Canyon. Lunch is held within a short hike to the arch
that gives the canyon its name. The other trail is more
challenging and leads to Hotel Rock, named after its Anasazi
dwellings. Limited to a low number of Jeeps, this Jamboree
offers a more intimate and friendly setting than most. Meals
are served outdoors under large cottonwood trees at the
canyon mouth, with overnight rustic camping permitted. Hotel
accommodations are located in nearby Blanding.

April 29-May 01
Marshall County, KY – This Jamboree offers
a wide variety of trails that lead you through rolling
hills, wooded forests, and rocky plateaus. The Turkey
Bay OHV area has over 2,500 acres of trails with
steep grades, creeks, and rocky terrain. The region
also has lots of wildlife including turkey, bobcat, red
wolf, coyote, deer, and many birds of prey. Plus, be
on the lookout for eagles’ nests along the way - they
can be up to 8 feet wide. Land Between the Lakes
National Recreation Area has 170,000 acres of
undeveloped land, so nighttime stargazing while
camping on a moonless night is especially good.

Hammonton, NJ – Centered around Batsto
Historic Village, many of the trails date back to the
17th century when they were used to transport bog
ore to be made into cannon balls for the Continental
Army during the Revolutionary War. Since then, many
more trails have been established by the Forest
Service in this area known as the Pine Barrens,
encompassing one million acres of pine forests, cedar
swamps, and streams. Water flows from the Kirkwood-
Cohansey aquifer - one of the largest on the continent.
There is usually an abundance of water, so expect to
get your feet wet and your Jeep® 4x4 muddy in the
many mud holes and water crossings.

 Big Bear
May 13-May 15
Big Bear Lake, CA – Take a trip back in time
and become part of California’s Wild West. Travel
far from pavement along mining and logging trails
used in the gold rush era, 159 years ago. You’ll enjoy
rock-and-boulder-strewn trails with great views
overlooking Big Bear Lake. You’ll cross streams
where miners used to pan for gold or traverse over
to the mountain’s edge for breathtaking views
of California’s High Desert. Let our guides show
you what you and your Jeep® 4x4 are capable of!
While you’re in this great area, make time for some
wonderful mountain sports in and around Big Bear,
like fishing, kayaking, and mountain biking.

May 13-May 15
Amarillo, TX – From the red-hued dirt to the
towering canyon walls, this Jamboree embodies all
the best elements that the Southwest United States
has to offer. Start by enjoying an authentic cowboy
breakfast on the edge of the second-largest canyon in
North America. Then drive single-file down 1,000 feet
to the floor of this Grand Canyon-like gorge to discover
several great off-road trails. Palo Duro Canyon has
many steep uphill obstacles with loose dirt, sandstone,
rocks and boulders. The long, steep hill climbs provide
twisty challenges and great spectator spots for all. Due
to its trademark scenery, Palo Duro is also a popular
location for adventure movies.

Cullman Alabama
May 27 - May 29
Cullman, AL – Located 55 miles south of
Huntsville in the Appalachian Mountains, Stony
Lonesome OHV Park is one of Alabama’s hidden
attractions and the only public motorized vehicle trail
system in the state. Nearly 1,500 wooded acres will
be your playground for this Jamboree. The park offers
numerous trails of varying difficulty; a rock crawling
area as well as plenty of amenities for adventures
of all ages. Whether you’re seeking family fun or a
thrilling adventure, there is something for everyone at
the Cullman Alabama Jamboree.

canyon de chelly

Chinle, AZ – A maze of red sheer-walled
canyons with looming cliffs and hidden caves is
home to the Navajo Nation and Canyon de Chelly
(“de-SHAY”) National Monument. The canyon’s
spiritual significance will be explained by a Navajo
guide as you wind through the two branches of the
canyon. One of the trail’s highlights is the towering
850-foot monolith of Spider Rock. While the canyon
walls are sheer cliffs, the bottom of the canyon is
flat and sandy. There are over 2,700 archeological
sites, including cliff dwellings, pictographs, and
petroglyphs. Pets are not allowed in the canyon.

 Badlands
June 10 - Jun 12
Attica, IN – Nestled near the Wabash River, the
Badlands Off-Road Park will offer more than the
tranquil meanderings of a peaceful river. Badlands
Off-Road Park, which consists of roughly 800 acres,
will live up to its name by offering a variety of off-road
obstacles and demanding terrain. Sand, mud, tight
off-camber wooded trails and stream crossings will
present a challenge for all skill levels. Described as
having some of the best off-road trails in Indiana, this
Jamboree will be sure to please.

drummond island
June 17 - June 19
Drummond Island, MI – Densely wooded
and rocky trails wind through this northern Michigan
sportsman’s paradise of more than 40 inland lakes
and 150 miles of shoreline. A short trip by ferry
takes you to this gem of an island located just
off of Michigan’s remote Eastern Upper Peninsula.
Drummond’s trails consist of rugged terrain, mud
and water, breathtaking vistas, and scenic bays. One
of the many highlights of this Jamboree is Marble
Head where your Jeep® brings participants to the
edge of 90-foot bluffs looking down at Lake Huron.
And it’s not unusual to see some spectacular wildlife
(deer, bear, eagles) that call this island home.

penns wood
June 17 - June 19
Bradford, PA – The Allegheny Highlands are aptly
named! With views that go on for miles, you’ll travel
through pristine forests that rarely see visitors. Penn’s
Woods trails provide light scenic challenges, medium
challenging trails for the more adventurous, or
difficult trails for the seasoned driver. Each trail level
has a variety of hills to climb, mud to traverse, and
rocks to negotiate. Nearby are oil history museums
and the remains of the Kinzua Train Viaduct, once
considered the eighth wonder of the world. Also of
interest is a new World War II museum in nearby
Eldred. Come see for yourself all Penn’s Woods and
Pennsylvania have to offer!

snowshoe mountains
July 08 - July 10
Snowshoe, WV – Perched nearly a mile high in
the Alleghenies, Snowshoe Mountain Resort is home
to 11,000 acres of pristine woodlands. Breathtaking
vistas are found throughout the challenging off-road
trails. A stop for lunch at a fire-tower lookout is your
opportunity to take home your own postcard picture.
Steep downhill trails and boulders along with some
mud make for a great time. The food is great as are
the friends and memories you’ll make. Bring along
your mountain bike - West Virginia was recently voted
“the number one state for mountain biking in North
America” as ranked in the latest IMBA annual survey!

northwoods Mole lake
July 15 - July 17
Crandon, WI – Venture through heavily forested
trails, passing creeks, ponds, and lakes that dot this
northern backcountry. Discovered in 1634 by French
explorer Jean Nicolet, the 661,000-acre Nicolet
National Forest surrounds the Sokaogon/Chippewa
community of Mole Lake. You’ll go deep into beautiful
forest on old logging roads and abandoned railroads.
Skirt the headwater swamps of the Peshtigo, Wolf,
and Wisconsin Rivers. Keep an eye out for plenty of
indigenous wildlife, including deer, beaver, bald eagles,
loons, foxes, and black bear. The region is also a
paradise for paddlers and fishers alike. Come explore
the northwoods with us in this land of lakes.

killington
July 15 - July 17
Killington, VT – Located in the beautiful Green
Mountains of central Vermont, Killington Resort
is the largest ski resort in the East, featuring an
expansive and challenging road and trail network.
Nearby Pico Mountain offers a challenging drive
with the reward of scenic vistas and views of five
states and Canada from its 3,967-foot summit.
The Killington Grand Resort Hotel and Spa will
serve as event headquarters and offer a relaxing
and comfortable way to unwind after a full day of
outdoor exploration and adventure. The Killington
Resort Region also features numerous dining,
shopping and recreational opportunities.

 rubicon trail
August 12 - August 15
The Rubicon Trail, CA – Originally a Native
American footpath, the Rubicon Trail was used by
explorers in search of a clear path across the Sierra
Nevadas. Today, Jeep® owners travel from all over to
test their prowess on the most grueling 22 miles of
off-road driving in America. Trail guides expertly spot you
over legendary obstacles like “Big Sluice” and “Cadillac
Hill” for an unforgettable experience. At each day’s end,
fabulous outdoor cooking awaits. Plus, George Wheeldon,
professor of geology, and Brian Hayes, professor of
Native American studies, provide informative talks about
the surrounding area. Tow hooks, skid plates, rock rails,
and a minimum of 31-inch tires mandatory.

Big Horn Mountain

August 26 - August 28
Dayton, WY – The breathtaking Big Horn
Mountains will provide the backdrop for this scenic
and challenging Jamboree. As you traverse the
mountainsides, you’ll be amazed at the landscape
of this outdoor wonderland. Picturesque views,
fresh mountain air, and plenty of wildlife will make
this Jamboree one to remember. In addition to the
beautiful setting, the Big Horn Mountains Jamboree
offers numerous trails of varying difficulty. This is your
chance to conquer rocks, hill climbs, stream crossings,
and all of the other obstacles that Big Horn has to
offer.

texas spur fall
September 16 - September 18
Llano, TX – Saddle up and hit trails in the heart
of Texas Hill Country. This Jamboree offers some of
the most challenging terrain in Texas. Held at the
historic Inks Ranch, this trip includes granite domes,
rock climbs, sandy draws and several scenic vistas.
Located near Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, our
trail system winds around Watch Mountain, a 300-ft
wall of granite. You may even spot some wildlife, such
as aoudad, axis deer, blackbuck, and bald eagles!

ouray
September 16 - September 18
Ouray, CO – Join us in Ouray (“you-RAY”)
Colorado for challenging trails blazed by 19th century
prospectors and for spectacular scenery. Ouray is
located 7,800 feet above sea level in southwestern
Colorado in the San Juan Mountains. Pass old mines
and golden aspen trees, and pick your way around
and over large boulders on your way to the best
preserved ghost town in Colorado. The highlight is the
spectacular mountain views from all of the passes
you’ll cross, the lowest of which is at 12,400 feet.
The highest is Imogene Pass, which at 13,114 feet
elevation is one of the highest passes you can drive
over in the United States.

 catskill mountains
September 23 - September 25
Monticello, NY – Just 100 miles north of New
York City, the Catskill Mountains play host to some of
the best off-roading and good times in the Northeast.
A wide variety of trails for both beginners and
seasoned enthusiasts await participants. Endless mud,
hill climbs, river crossings, and mountains of rocks are
just some of what participants might encounter on
any of our 12 different trails. The good times continue
nightly at Jamboree headquarters, “Mr. Willys,” where
Jeep® vehicle owners can test their skills on our 101
course or share stories around the bonfire. Good
times and great trails are what keep Jeep vehicle
owners coming back year after year.

September 23 - September 25
Deadwood, SD – Black Hills National Forest is
home to the monumental Mount Rushmore and some
of South Dakota’s most intriguing and historic locales.
It encompasses the legendary town of Deadwood, best
known for the exploits of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity
Jane. Now Deadwood is maintained as both a colorful
vestige of the Old West and a first-rate family vacation
area that includes both modern campgrounds and
gaming casinos. The award-winning motion picture
Dances with Wolves was filmed in nearby Spearfish
Canyon. The trails offer a wide range of difficulty and
feature breathtaking scenery.

September 30 - October 02
Bethel, MN – Experience deep colors in the deep
woods. The mountains of western Maine are known
for their autumn splendor when vibrant colors paint
a stunning backdrop. Under the colorful canopy lays
hundreds of miles of mountain trails and scenic
backroads. The “Chili Trail” crosses water, rocks,
and a log bridge before a lunch of homemade chili.
Other trails lead to a granite-topped mountain with
spectacular views. There’s also local mountain biking
and canoeing to enjoy, and the Bethel Inn offers golf,
tennis, and health club facilities. Historic Bethel also
offers shopping and dining opportunities.

French Lick, IN – Discover the best of the
Midwest backcountry. This Jeep Jamboree is nestled
in the hills of Southern Indiana. In the 1900s, the
abundance of mineral springs, area resorts, and
hotels lured wealthy travelers from every point in the
United States. Rediscover what these early visitors
found as you explore this scenic country radiating
with the colors and charms of autumn. Keep
your foot close to the brake pedal while watching
for wild turkey, quail, rabbit, fox, deer, and other
native wildlife teeming in the underbrush. Conquer
rocks and mudholes as you wind your way through
Indiana’s picturesque landscape.

October 14 - October 16
Borrego Springs, CA – Wander through
an ancient sea bed, 200 feet below sea level and
around mammoth mounds of silt to discover fossils
and sea shells 160 miles from the Pacific Ocean.
Test your Jeep® 4x4’s articulation through narrow
and winding notches on your way to places like
“Broken Axle Alley.” Test your Jeep® 4x4’s traction
climbing up steep hills enroute to an old Calcite
Mine high in the foothills. Enjoy open sky and
relax after dinner around the campfire. This lunar
landscape is like nothing you’ve ever seen and offers
a wide range of trails, from mild exploration to the
most extreme obstacles.

Williamsburg, KY – The majestic Cumberland
Mountains are a fitting backdrop for this Jamboree.
Located on the bend of the Cumberland River, the
Williamsburg area is known for its charming homes,
picturesque landscapes, vast outdoor recreational
activities, and the second-largest waterfall east
of the Rockies. The area offers numerous trails
of varying difficulty that will lure you into the
scenic woods. You’ll discover steep forested ridges,
magnificent natural arches, and lush vegetation.
Swimming, fishing, boating, golf, tennis, hunting, and
horseback riding are popular activities in the area.

October 21 - October 23
Moab, UT – Huddled in a far-off valley between
pinnacles of red rock, Moab is one of the most
breathtaking 4x4 destinations in the nation - if not
the world. Many movies, including a host of John
Ford Wild West classics, have been filmed in these
otherworldly environs. A high percentage of the
maintained and primitive roads are actually remnants
of the area’s uranium prospecting and mining past.
Potash Road just outside Moab features petroglyphs
and several dinosaur tracks. Be sure to take in the
spectacular terrain of neighboring Arches National
Park and Canyonlands National Park.

Hot Springs, AR – Choose your thrill. If just
hearing names like “Kamikaze Boulder Banzai” and
“Rollercoaster Rampage” speed up your pulse, then
this Jamboree is for you! At least 1,200 wooded acres
contain almost every type of terrain imaginable and
pose countless challenges for participants of all skill
levels. Mud pits, rock gardens, hill climbs, and water
crossings combine to make this Jeep Jamboree a
non-stop thrill ride. And it doesn’t end on the trails -
boating, fishing, golf, horseback riding, and even an
amusement park are nearby to satisfy even the most
cautious member of your party.
