PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and science in identifying,


formulating and solving engineering problems.
2. An ability to understand the application of drafting software to prepare
mechanical engineering drawings and as well as to read, analyze and interpret
drawings.
3. An ability to analysis and design a system, component, or process to meet
desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental,
social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and
sustainability.
4. An ability to trouble shooting techniques (Maintenance and servicing of
various machines) and evaluate operational performance.
5. An ability to understand the quality control and assurance of raw materials
and finished products.
6. An ability to understand the concepts of organisation structure and
management in terms of performance and productivity quality control and
assurance of raw materials and finished products.
7. Ability to understand material handling and its processes including recent
trends.
8. Ability to understand fluid power, thermal power and concept in design &
drawing of various machine elements including shop floor drawing.
9. An ability to articulate and communicate ideas persuasively and effectively
both in written and oral.
10. An ability to work effectively as an individual and in a team.
11. An ability to understand and work with professional and ethical
responsibility.
12. An ability to recognize the need for to engage in life-long learning and
updating the knowledge in contemporary issues.

Programme Objective 1
To prepare diplomats who will create new ways to meet societys needs with their knowledge of
Mechanical Engineering.

To enable the students to support the Engineers in designs and analysis of Mechanical systems.

To create flexible atmosphere that promotes creativity and innovation among students and faculty
which encourages professional ethics and lifelong learning.

To equip students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering
fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve, analyze problems to prepare them for further studies.
