INTRODUCTION

Colombia will have 7,000 million inhabitants in 2015 to 9,300 million in 2050, both
population growth and the growth of the middle class that are forecast for Colombia
between now and 2050 are part of global phenomena of great significance for the
history of the humanity.

You were asked to write a short article about how you imagine Colombia will
be in 2050 taking into account technological advances, transportation and
finally, health and food.
1. Your best friend will be a computer. Just watch you (or focus with a lens) your
device will know your mood "and your heart better than anyone." So says Steve
Wozniak, cofounder of Apple's revolutionary. "In 40 years we will have conscious
computers, endowed with feelings, their own personality. Your best friend is a

2. The 'eternal' youth. George Church, a renowned geneticist at Harvard, said that
in 2050 humans have discovered a way to reverse aging and can live "young until
the day we die."

humanity difficult ethical dilemmas, but also the encouragement to continue with
the proliferation of new and better systems development. A clear consequence of
this dynamic is that medicine integrates increasingly sophisticated diagnostic and
therapeutic technologies, with the consequent increase in care costs. In this
context, the concern is to define and assess the situation of rational use of
technology for high-cost health in our country.
6 System well organized public transport will be the most effective way to move
large numbers of people form. However, some travelers always need your vehicle.
Are future transportation systems will be organized to daily life, such as Uber or
Zipcar, easiest and most economical cars and will be flying our skies in a short
height range that can land in modern buildings? Future films tell us that yes is hard
to imagine a world without Apple, Microsoft, Facebook and Google, and we can
assume that everything has a digital representation will be available in future
vehicles. The cars will be fully integrated digital lifestyle to 2050.

Conclusion

To start my speculation about the foreseeable future, inevitably mix desires,

intuitions and the most basic mechanisms of prediction, I lean primarily in the
simplest: what will probably continue to happen as has been happening. It is
necessary to emphasize some of the aspects that seem most significant of the current
Colombian society.
