Job description/responsibilities/tasks
1) Undertake, in co-ordination with Provincial Coordinator and where required, assessment, design,
documentation, quality assurance and site monitoring/supervision. Where applicable, non-engineering
professionals may be included;
2) Assist in the establishment of training programmers for local community organizations in the field of subprojects implementation;
3) Assist in the selection of technical personnel for recruitment through the Provincial Coordinator;
4) Review and co-ordinate provincial engineering work plans for approval;
5) Analyze engineering content of progress reports and relate results to the work plans, audit the technical
achievements of completed outputs.
6) Assist in the establishment of a contractual base for sub-project implementation directly with local community
organizations;

Evaluate engineering contracts concluded with local community organizations and contractors;
8) Conduct, co-ordination with Provincial Coordinator a post-work contractor assessment. In the same way
conduct also a post-works assessment of local community organization;
9) In close cooperation with Provincial Coordinator develop and implement an evaluation system for local
community organizations as direct implementing organizations for Program funded activities taking into account
community participation and technical criteria;
10) Supervise in coordination with Provincial Coordinator technical assessment, formulation, design and costing of
community-identified engineering road sub-projects implemented both by contractors or local community
organizations;
11) Assist with the development and application of appropriate, standard engineering designs and procedures;
12) Assist in the evaluation of sub-project impact.
14) Keep Contractors tracking, for short-listing for implementation of sub-projects, interview
Is and update the tracking (if necessary)
13) Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor
14) Establish archive for project document and keep records of the project
15) Monitor and facilitate implementation of the Irrigation component and monitor quality of work,
including site visits.
16) Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports on the projects Irrigation infrastructure
component activities, brief and document information for the MEW as required.

Required Education/Degrees/Skills/Experience

Holder of BSc Degree in Civil Engineering

At least 5 years work experience in the similar field
Having knowledge of computer (MS word, excel, power point, Internet explorer CAD, etc.)
Able to work in the project site in difficult situation
Willing to travel all over the country according to the need of the program
