Privilege Walk is a political exercise, NOT a
multicultural exercise.
It promotes class envy, and insults
achievers by suggesting their success is a
product of privilege rather than hard work.
(This is classic Marxist class warfare)

Exactly what are the messages

of the Privilege Walk?
Youre white and successful because you were
privileged, not because you worked hard?

Or worse yet
Youre not white and privileged, therefore, you are
a victim, and your chance of success is
diminished? (rare in todays affirmative action environment)

Or worse yet
Why capitalism is evil

FAMILY A- RACE= WHITE
Father works 40 hrs min wage:

and 2 x 20hr Part time jobs:

$800/mo net

Total:

$1600/mo in earned income

FAMILY B- RACE= NON-WHITE

Mother receives $1750 Sect 8 voucher
Receives $400/mo AFDC
Receives $400/mo Food Stamps
Receives $150/mo utility subsidy
Total: $2700/mo in benefits

White Privilege exercises are a deplorable form of

racism that attribute characteristics or behaviors
based on race, gender, or economic background

The majority of high school students entering college:

Cannot articulate the inherent morality

of free market capitalism
Cannot articulate benefits of a
constitutional republic versus a
democracy
Yet Both of these concepts can be cogently
demonstrated in the time it takes to do one Privilege
Walk.

Before teaching kids about other cultures, they

should first be imbued with an appreciation of two
of the most unique components of Americas
political and economic culture.

Teaching multiculturalism means
focusing on the positives.

Attributes of success are universal

suggesting their success is result of

Easy to change the outcome: If

preferential treatment to get into

because of race or nationality,
take 3 steps forward.

The Privilege Walk is insulting. It does
not promote individual accountability.

It is inconsistent with American values,

and must be STOPPED.
It must be replaced with something
positive, uplifting, and unifying akin to
this presentation.
