Course Description
:
This introductory course in Humanities deals in studying arts on variety of approaches. As an introduction to Arts
Appreciation, this course deals with arts as an important and dynamic venture of man. Hence, the course will attempt to define, identify, and study the
different forms of arts and its social relevance in connection to its role to humanity.

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Recognize, analyze, and identify the significance of the elements and medium of arts.
2. Acquire knowledge and develop self realization on the importance of the principles of design and the process of art making.
3. Understand and appreciate the life of the artist and their individuality in expressing their creativity.
4. Develop a deeper understanding about the significant meaning of arts as an expression and way of life.
5. Learn to appreciate arts on the level of cognitive and perceptual ability.
