The Philadelphia Recreation Dept. Golf Programs

have been supported by the Philadelphia section of
the Professional Golf Association, The United States
Golf Association, The Tiger Woods Foundation and
the Golf Association of Philadelphia. National
Recreation & Park Association - Sticks for Kids
Program and numerous other generous supporters.

A) Philosophy:
To teach basic skills
To teach rules and etiquette
Learn different types of scoring
B) Professional Golf Instruction:
Local Golf Professionals provided by the PGA
Philadelphia Section, will come on Occasion to
conduct the clinics at the driving range.
Staff will include Local College players and
High School players.
12 hours of lessons.
C) Competitive Games:
Every Thursday & Friday campers will play 9
holes of golf at a local public golf course
Miniature golf will also be offered at the
Burholme and Umbria Street Range sessions.
D) Training Sessions
Training sessions will be conducted the first two
weeks at Burholme Driving Range & John F.
Byrne Golf Course. The third and fourth week
will be at Umbria Street Golf Center & Walnut
Lane Golf Course. The following week will be
held at Cobbs Creek Golf Course/Karakung Golf
Course.
E) Rain Policy
In case of rain, call 215-683-3686, after 7:30
a.m. and press #2 to see if camp will be
cancelled on that day. Rain days will not be
rescheduled. NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND.
