The proud elephant

Upon a time, there was an elephant. He
was very proud because he was larger
in size than other animals. He had a bad
temper too. Many animals especially
those which are smaller in size were
frightened of the arrogant elephant.if
possible they tried to get away from him
the further the better.
He always roared loudly and
trampled anything whenever he was
angry. His bad attitude had caused
others to dislike him and wanted to
teach him a lesson. One day while he
was walking in the jungle after his lunch
he met a little rat.

Get out of my way! the elephant

howled at the rat fiercely. Please
behave yourself. I dont disturb you,
responded the rat.You little rat! Get
lost! the elephant roared at the little
rat, swinging his trunk angrily.

Unfortunately the tail was too short to

reach his own trunk. He could not get
rid of the rat as he wished. By then
there were some animals at the place.
They were laughing at the elephant
because he was tricked by the little rat.
They clapped their hands and shouted
happily towards the little rat.
Hoorayyyy!!!!!!! Little rat, you are the
best! said the animals. When the
elephant heard that, he was almost
getting mad. He stamped his feet pn
the ground and banged his trunk
against the tree by his side. At this
moment the little rat let go and jumed
away from the elephant tail. Look
elephant you are big in size.

The little rat stared at the elephant with

his shinning eyes, Can you please be
more civilized? the furious elephant
was getting very impatient.
He lifted his strong eg to trample the
little rat but he missed him because the
lttle rat swiftly jumped away from him.

That doesnt mean that you can

behave like this towards the other
animals, said the little rat. After saying
that, the little rat shot his way into the
jungle and the elephant was left alone
thinking about what the little rat has
said.

The little rat knew that if he was

trampled by the elephant, he would turn
into mud as the elephant was huge and
strong. The elephant turned his large
body around to look for his enemy.
When he found the little rat was
squattingat one corner not far away
from nim, the elephant dashed forward
to attack him.

Moral values:
It is wrong to be proud. Nobody would
like a person who is proud. Instead we
should be polite and well mannered to
others.

Still he missed the little rat bas the

latter moved faster than him. The
elephant was getting more and more
furious. He felt like he was ging to
explode. He stared at his little enemy,
who was making faces at him. He
swung his trunk to hit the little rat but
the latter jumped away from him
quickly.
