ELT Journal is a quarterly publication for all those involved in English

Language Teaching (ELT), whether as a second, additional, or foreign
language, or as an international Lingua Franca. The Journal links the everyday
concerns of practitioners with insights gained from relevant academic
disciplines such as applied linguistics, education, psychology, and sociology.
ELT Journal aims to provide a medium for informed discussion of the
principles and practice which determine the ways in which English is taught
and learnt around the world. It also provides a forum for the exchange of
information and ideas among members of the profession worldwide. The
Editor of ELT Journal is supported by an Advisory Board which assists the
Editor in guiding the development of the Journal, and by an Editorial Panel
whose members referee submissions. The journal that gave its name to our
field of activity recently reached the age of sixty - in October 1946, the first
issue of English Language Teaching, now known as ELT Journal, was sent out
around the world from the British Councils offices in Hanover Street, London.
Since then the journal has continuously served as a focal point for the
profession, to the extent indeed that its title, abbreviated to 'ELT', began to
be adopted as an umbrella term for the whole enterprise of teaching English
as a foreign or second language

2. TESOL Quarterly (TQ), a refereed professional journal, fosters inquiry into

English language teaching and learning by providing a forum for TESOL
professionals to share their research findings and explore ideas and
relationships in the field. TQ's readership includes ESOL teacher educators,
teacher learners, researchers, applied linguists, and ESOL teachers. The
TESOL Board of Directors invites applications and nominations for the position
of editor of TESOL Quarterly (TQ). The editor serves a 5-year term: 1 year as
associate to the current editor and the next 4 years as editor. The new
editors associate year begins in January 2017, and the 4-year editorship
concludes with the December 2021 issue. Although the editorship has
traditionally been held by one person, the Board also welcomes applications
from two editors to function as co-editors or from one editor who may
subsequently appoint an associate editor. In the latter case, the two potential
co-editors need to submit their joint application. The new editor must be a
TESOL member in good standing no later than 1 January 2017. TESOL
Quarterly accepts original manuscripts from researchers and other
professionals working contexts around the world. You do not have to be a
TESOL member to write for TQ.

3. The International Journal of Sport Psychology publishes empirical and

theoretical contributions in the human movement sciences from all over the
world. Manuscripts related to psychology, sport pedagogy, exercise and sport
performance are suited to the Journal's scope. IJSP's aims are to disseminate
results of rigorous and relevant studies, to expose positions and
commentaries regarding the development of theory and confirmation or
contradiction of previous findings. IJSP entertains various methodologies
encompassing coherence among epistemology, research questions, tools,
statistical or clinical analyses and discussion or potential applications.
Qualitative and quantitative analyses as well as case studies are of interest
when appropriately used. IJSP is comprised of the following sections related to
human movement sciences:

Motor learning and control

Cognition
Health and exercise
Social psychology
Intervention / Clinical / counseling psychology

Manuscripts must be original and not submitted for publication to any other journal
at the same time. Authors of manuscripts accepted for publication must transfer
copyright to Edizioni Luigi Pozzi. Authors must use A4 format and add line numbers.
Four types of manuscripts can be submitted: Position statements, theoretical reinterpretations and multi-experiment papers should not exceed 30 pages inclusive.
Brief reports (empirically-based communications or commentaries) should not
exceed 15 pages. Research notes. These submissions should not exceed 5 pages.
They may present some initial findings, methodological issues or stimulating data
from initial pilot work.

4. Human Movement Science provides a medium for publishing disciplinary and

multidisciplinary studies on human movement. It brings together
psychological, biomechanical and neurophysiological research on the control,

organization and learning of human movement, including the perceptual

support of movement. The overarching goal of the journal is to publish
articles that help advance theoretical understanding of the control and
organization of human movement, as well as changes therein as a function of
development, learning and rehabilitation. The nature of the research reported
may vary from fundamental theoretical or empirical studies to more applied
studies in the fields of, for example, sport, dance and rehabilitation with the
proviso that all studies have a distinct theoretical bearing. Also, reviews and
meta-studies advancing the understanding of human movement are
welcome. These aims and scope imply that purely descriptive studies are not
acceptable, while methodological articles are only acceptable if the
methodology in question opens up new vistas in understanding the control
and organization of human movement. The same holds for articles on
exercise physiology, which in general are not supported, unless they speak to
the control and organization of human movement. In general, it is required
that the theoretical message of articles published in Human Movement
Science is, to a certain extent, innovative and not dismissible as just "more of
the same." Human Movement Science will consider hypothesis-driven
analyses and exploratory analyses for which the need for exploration can be
motivated; the exploratory nature of any such analysis should be clearly
stated. In line with its commitment to publishing methodologically sound
studies, Human Movement Science now offers the possibility to publish highpowered hypothesis driven research and high-impact replications as
Registered Reports. Through pre registration of hypotheses and methodology
and results-independent editorial decisions, this article type neutralizes many
questionable research practices incentivised by today's publish-or-perish
pressures. In addition to regular issues, special issues addressing a single
theme will be published. In case of special issues the above criteria may be
softened if the guest editor(s) is (are) of the opinion that this will further the
insight into the theme of the special issue in question. Special issues
containing articles based on papers presented at conferences and workshops
or consisting of a "target article" followed by peer commentaries are also
admissible.

5. The purpose of the Journal of Teaching in Physical Education is to

communicate national and international research and stimulate discussion,
study, and critique of teaching, teacher education, and curriculum as these
fields relate to physical activity in schools, communities, higher education,
and sport. The journal publishes original reports of empirical studies in
physical education together with integrative reviews and analyses of
educational and methodological issues in the field. Research using a variety

of methodological approaches is acceptable for publication. Brief research

notes also will be reviewed for possible publication. The coeditors and
editorial board encourage the submission of manuscripts that extend
knowledge within the focus of the journal. Specific questions about the
appropriateness of any individual paper to enter the JTPE peer-review process
should be directed to one of the coeditors. Except for occasional invited
manuscripts, all published articles are refereed by members of the Editorial
Board, whose names appear on the back cover, or by other referees invited
by the coeditors. The final decision on whether a paper merits publication is
made by the coeditor coordinating the review process. The Journal of
Teaching in Physical Education (JTPE) features peer-reviewed research articles
based on classroom and laboratory studies, descriptive and survey studies,
summary and review articles, and discussion of current topics of interest to
physical educators at every level.
