product development process for the modification of the product. Following task need to be
consider for the development of the product.
a. Market survey for the new product development
b. List down the customer requirement and convert it to engineering characteristics.
Develop house of quality
c. Identify feasible concepts (at least 4). Evaluate concept with appropriate techniques.
Select best concept
Lab:
The lab component is based on the modeling of various products in Pro/ENGINEER software. Consider
the same product which is developed in the Assignment portion. Following are the few exercise need to
be done in the lab.
a. Model various selected concepts of the product
b. Draw part drawing of each component, its assembly and detailed 2D views (Consider only best
concept)
c. Draw exploded view of the product
d. Show the working model of the product by using animation tool in the software.
