Charles Babbage
Charles Babbage (26 December 1791 18 October 1871) was
an English polymath, a mathematician, inventor and
mechanical engineer. He is also called Father of
computers. He developed various engines such as:
Difference engine: Used for computing significant values in
the functions of polynomials, Analytical engine: A more
complex engine which could be programmed through the use
of a punch card, Calculating engine: Helped in computing
large numbers fast and easy.
John V. Atanasoff
John V. Atanasoff (October 4, 1903 June 15, 1995) was an
American physicist and inventor, best known for inventing
the first electronic digital computer in the 1930s at Iowa,
which was called the AtanasoffBerry Computer. This
computer could solve 29 equations simultaneously.
