IX.

Conclusion

Based on the gathered data, the researchers have come up with the following
conclusions:
1. This research shows that some of the portions of the classrooms and
library in Business and Engineering Building of the University of
Mindanao needs additional lightings to comply the appropriate
luminance standards.
2. In the lighting usage particularly the practices of users, the research
reveals that most of the users were unable to manage to put off the
lights after the class is done.

X.

Recommendations
Based on the gathered data, the researchers have come up with the
following:
1. The researchers recommend adding some lighting fixtures to those
portions that have lower lux readings in order to comply the standard
luminance. For the second floor, these are room 205, 207, 208, 209,
210, 211, 219, 221, 223, 224, 225, 226, 228, 229, 230, and room
231. For the third floor, this is room 219 and for the library, these are
Filipiniana and E-resources section.
2. The researchers recommend a device that will control the lighting
system of the building to assist the users in conserving electrical
consumption.
