Clarence Elmer (b. May 30, 1877) was the fifth child of Orville and Katherine Frost. He married
Mamie Lauderbaugh on Feb 9, 1905. The Lauderbaughs lived nearby on a farm between the
Frosts and the Preston community (which we know as the Fred Knell farm). Mr. Lauderbaugh
was a good friend of Orville Frost and a fellow Civil War veteran. Elmer and Mamie lived in
Missouri after they married. They had a farm about a mile east of the Orville Frost home place.
This farm was later sold to Arthur Frost. Elmer and Mamie lived in California briefly but
returned to Missouri. They eventually moved West again and settled in Idaho where they show
up in the 1920 Census. Elmer and Mamie raised three boys in and around Ada County, Idaho.
All three boys (William, Rodney, and Orville) were born there.
