Providing Community Benefits


New Haven Reads is a nonprofit organization located in
space donated by Yale University that aims to promote
literacy in New Havens youth. Over 500 New Haven
K-12 students visit New Haven Reads each week for
free tutoring by community volunteers, many of whom
are Yale students and staff.
Since its founding in 2001, New Haven Reads has operated a free the Book
Bank, which annually provides over 100,000 books to children and families
